I followed this Guide and remapped the controls with the original PlayStation layout in mind.

1. Download the zip file[app.box.com]
   
2. Unzip it
   
3. Paste it on Tomb Raider installation folder and replace the original files when prompted.
   The default folder is:
   C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tomb Raider (I)

You should always be careful when downloading files from unknown sources because they might contain malware. In this situation, the zip file only has some settings (with .conf and .map extensions) and nothing else to do.

To make sure you have the correct files, you can compare the integrity of the download using tools like HashMyFiles from Nirsoft or using your Operating System terminal:

1. Go into your download folder, press Shift key, right-click on an empty folder and choose the Open PowerShell window here option.
   
2. Use the following command:
   
   (Get-FileHash -Path ".\Tomb Raider I Xbox Profile-v20240124170634.zip" -Algorithm MD5).Hash -eq "7058f006508c19f11b1eeefde98657d8"
3. The output must show the result True. If that's not the case, make sure the download filename matches the one in the command above, and the MD5 code matches the one from the previous table.

If you are sure these parameters are the right ones, probably the file has been tampered, and it's not the one I'm providing you.

1. Go into your download folder and open a terminal there (or just browser in the terminal into your folder).
   
2. Use the following command:
   
   md5sum "Tomb Raider I Xbox Profile-v20240124170634.zip" | grep -q "7058f006508c19f11b1eeefde98657d8" && echo "Checksum matches!" || echo "Checksum does not match!"
3. The output must show the result Checksum matches. If that's not the case, make sure the download filename matches the one in the command above, and the MD5 code matches the one from the previous table.

If you are sure these parameters are the right ones, probably the file has been tampered, and it's not the one I'm providing you.

If, for some reason, you want to remove it:

1. Delete mapper-SVN.map & dosboxTR.conf from the game folder.
   The default folder is:
   C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tomb Raider (I)
2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu, select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache button. Steam will download the game's missing files.
