Overview of Mining
During the guide you will see various lines that lead you to ore and sometimes out of the way of mobs.

Red- Indicates the most efficent path from the entrance to the minng vein

Dark Red- Indicates a path that a mob is required to fight in order to get to the vein

Light Blue Sqaure- Indicates passive mobs in th area

Dark Red Squares- Indicate aggressive mobs in the area(remember their aggro range)

This will possibly be updated along the way as I see fit.(For clarity issues)

Some main points you need to realize before reading this guide
  • RPGMo almost requires you to focus on more than just a few skills to explore the great content the game has to offer
  • It will make your life a lot easier if you train combat before advancing further(after iron)
  • You will get to a point where you will feel stuck, but you have to remember mining can be very profitable
  • The entire game is a grind. So of course you are going to have to mine quite a bit for it to become profitable
What to bring with you
For obvious reasons you want to carry as little stuff as possible. Usually when I go to mine I have my inventory setup like this

You always want to have a pet(if able) to be able to get more ore.

The Royal Donkey is the best early game pet because it gives you max of 16 extra slots and gives decent stats when wearing it. Players are usually selling it for 35k-45k in the market. Strong reccomend this pet if you want to pursue mining

Lets say you do not have the best combat stats and you want to safely kill mobs that are blocking your path. This is usually what I would wear

Of course you are not required to have my exact gear. You can can sub in whatever better gear you have or use the lesser gear(Iron Platemail is not required Chainmail is just as fine) but just be sure to minimize the gear so you can maximize your ore gain.

If you are strong enough to safely kill whatever mob is preventing you from mining without bringing gear go for it! Just make sure you do not die so do not end up losing your ore!

Copper, Tin, and Clay 1-25
Assuming you have your pickaxe equiped go ahead and head over to the Dorpat Mine This is where you will be spending the majority of your mining for the first few levels.

Now this is where you decide if you want to do Forging and Mining together. Or just decide to straight up mine without forging.(Although this is solely up to you, I would suggest you do the two skills together).

The most efficent way to do the two skills together is to mine as long as you wish and then smelt all the ore that you have mined. From here you can decide to forge the bars into gear or just sell the bars for profit.

Most efficient spot for Clay

Most efficient spot for Tin

Most efficient spot for Copper
Silver and Iron 25-40
Now if you have made this far into mining you have made it to the big leagues. Iron is going to be the ore you spend the most time mining for a long time.

Now to begin your quest on mining iron start near the Kettle in Dorpat town and head down the indicated path.

Now continue following up the brown path and head east(right) until you see this ladder surrounded by gray rocks.

Head into the dungeon and you will end up seeing this.

Now I know a lot of this stuff looks really spooky and looks like its impossible to mine iron here without dying but you can get to a safe spot without worrying about your character dying. All it requires is you being extra careful moving around these mobs

The way aggro works in this game for mobs who are aggressive is if you are within their 4 square range.

The red circles indicate the mobs aggro radius. So if you do not go within those circles for mobs, then the mobs will not aggro onto you

Now for the most efficient mining path

You can either go to the upper one or the lower one. Either path works

Now you are probably wondering if you have to walk all the way back to the town to store all the precious ore. That is not the case. There is this convient mini town just a bit further down you can store the ore instead.

Mining silver is completely optional. If you do not want to take the jewelry route of mining then all silver is useful for is extra mining xp

Silver is located just north of the Dorpat outpost

Go a bit further and you will hit this place. Becareful though! There are high level mobs that can interfere. So tread lightly

Coal 40-45
Now if you thought mining iron was spooky..Mining coal is on an entirely different level

The area just getting to coal is a bit of a walk..You can make the walk easier if you buy a Rakblood Teleport which you can purchase from the market for about 4-5k coins. Although its quicker to travel to Rakblood this way, it is not suggested to do the teleport route if you do not have 30+ in every combat stat

Head down south from the Dorpat Outpost and run into this sign. This is Whiland

Welcome to Whiland. Land of the Mushrooms. Most of the mobs in Whiland are passive. Some of the mobs you have to worry about are the Bears(the light blue squares indicate passive mobs)

Continue along this path trying to not to run into Deer or the Mushrooms

Continue

Head directly straight from here until you run into the tree

Now here is where things get tricky. You have to be extremely careful when walking because one false step and you will die by the bears. Continue on the indicated path

Continue

Continue down this path and keep going down until you run into the deer(but dont attack it)

Now from here im just showing you how to get to Rakblood so you are free to take your own path..As long as it avoids the Bears.

Welcome to Rakblood. Follow the path to lead to the safest mining spot for Coal

Take this path and this is where you will be mining coal.

This is where you decide if you will drop mine just for the levels and the chance for jewels or if you are strong enough you can take this path to the bank in Rakblood

Note in order to bank your coal you are required to fight two of the Bronze Golems(26)(Sometimes you get lucky that other people are mining as well so they end up clearing the golems for you anyways..but not always the case)

Return back to this area. Here is the first required Bronze Golem

Once you defeat the first one continue along the path

This is the second required Bronze Golem. Once you kill this you are free to go to the town

The explorers are passive so as long as you dont run into them you are free to go to the town

Here is the bank chest. Once you store your coal follow the path back once again. Remember you are still required to fight the two Bronze Golems
