Battle Tactics
By Ligea
Having trouble deciding which cards are best to use, new to the game thinking it was super easy, then get to the boss fights and realize that using the right combo of battle cards actually helps? Need a little help on knowing what to look for in the boss fights or just when fighting some of the tough regular fights? Well, take a look at some of the advice offered in this guide. I'm not quite to the end of the game, so I'll edit that part as I get to it, but I give enough hints to get you fairly far into the game. This is mostly battle advice, so I'm not focusing on quests or side quests, as I wanted to focus on what gave me the most frustration.

Auburn Pines
In Auburn Pines (the first neighborhood) the only true hard part is near the end once you

get past the gates, make sure you fight all the battles, gain that last level to lv 4, and

make sure you have those battle cards that do the stuns to rob the enemy of their turns.

Against the Bo-Johnn fight, Just keep focused on him, stun the extra man he summons. You

can try to kill the megaphone but he'll do a large attack if you do, so I found it best to

just focus on him and keep stunning the megaphone and the extra add (mob/guy he summons).

I recommend the robot suit/liberty suit, you will need those heals, but you could probably

use the defender (knight) suit (but I find the robots AOE can help you take down Bo-Johnn fairly

quickly).
The Mall/Mextel
Once you get to the start of the mall, make sure you fight every goblin you see, this will

help you level up, & you should be near that anyway. Some of the fights are really tough,

even with two party members having a stun. If there is a healer focus on killing them

quickly and stunning the two hard hitters. The battles with the grenaders can be really

tough, also stun them both, that will leave a guardian left (you can mostly sop up his

hits, though make sure you have Anthem, that healing spell will save you far more than you

know. I often used Liberty/Robot combo, or you could use Liberty/Cosmic suit (but I find

some of the weaker hits the cosmic suit (to me) is not wortth it as much, at least the

robot has a massive AOE (area that also sets fires to others fighting, that helps alot).

I'm not sure if the defender would be a good choice, as I haven't used much in the mall

area. Just try to connect all your hits, or as much as you can, and try to time your

defends, once you get to trick or treating in the mall, the few ememies there, aren't so

much of a fight if you fought all the ones at the beginning of the level. If you passed up many of

enemies at the start, it may be harder to trick or treat on the multi levels of the mall, but if you do

most of the fights on the under construction part of the mall, the later enemies won't seem nearly

as tough.

End of mall, when you fight Mextel, it helps to put 2 turn abilities on to prevent enemy

movement, klll the two guys, then Mextel will show up with dozer of 1000 HP, try to have

your other party member use a poison ability helps to really take the life down. Then when

you knock him off dozer, he again comes back with 1000 HP in a regular form. I used the

Robot, Liberty and Ninja Costume for this fights (before Mextel). Just be aware the prevent turn (battle cards) abilities do not work on bosses, so it may not be the best card for the fight, but I like to still use them to knock out adds (at the start of the fight), since most bosses have at least 1-2, (but Mextels other forms, it's just him that you are fighting). Just use as many attacks as you can & try to use the knight as he has a shield which can help if Mextel is targeting one of your people, and you'll wittle down his life, he does have one attack that can hit for 1/3 of your life, so try to keep your life up as much as you can (he did kill my robot person, but as long as you have a healer, you should be able to finish the fight).
Fall Valley
(Under construction, writing more as I finish the game).

So, far there isn't too much I'm finding difficult, just make sure you're buying all the different battle cards you can. There is one battle card you get sometimes during the mall, and I believe you get it after the Mextel fight, where you can revive one party member, and I have a feeling that may come in handy for some of the last fights in the game.
