I messed up, the pearl is not 100%, its 100% chance for a top tier crystal, whether Pearl, Solari, Kaiburr etc

guys kotor 2 has mostly random shop stock and loot, some tied to your level, some will always be the same. If you find something cool like the guy talking about the barab ore ingot, in one place, you probably wont find it again on your next run. The Pearl is one of the few 100% guarantees

The first(and most fitting) time I acquired Ultima-Pearl was !>when I defeated the last sith lords on Dxun. Getting Ankerres Sapphire and Lorridan Gemstone from that room is a bit more common, I think?<! It really does depend on what level you are when you access the container however; high-level crystals like the Ultima-Pearl can only appear as an item once you'ved reached a certain level.

I got that pearl w/out the code, i think it was a museum treasure, or maybe i picked it off a body.

How did you even find out what the code was?

The items are randomized and based on your level. Heck, I even found 2 Solari Crystals and 3 Barab Ore Ingots in my last playthrough!
