Black Widow
  • Keep distance to avoid burst missiles and flak
  • Communicate with team of presence (Use reveal buoy's and detect functions)
  • Do not warp out if presence is known (Will launch salvo and instant kill)
  • Focus fire on one side to improve damage infliction

Brawler
  • Keep distance, brawler damage increases the closer to its target and it can dispel concussion (>5000m)
  • Use point defense and shields to avoid being harpooned
  • Warp out if far enough away (approx. >8000m)
  • Focus fire on front, bottom, top, or rear (Side armor on brawler is very tough)
Colossus
  • Keep distance to avoid orange flak (>9000m)
  • If it is blue flak do not stop moving when at a distance, they will miss more often
  • Focus fire on bottom or rear as this is its weakest armor
  • If more than one target in the area, attack this one last
Destroyer
  • Always be on the move, it is difficult for destroyer to aim at moving targets
  • Focus fire on one side to improve damage infliction, it has no weak armor
  • If more than one target in the area, attack this one last
Displacer
  • Close the distance as much as possible, its damage is reduced at short ranges (?m)
  • Always be on the move to make it more difficult and position below, above, or behind
  • Focus fire on one side to improve damage output
Disruptor
  • If its position is known, try to warp next to them to surprise
  • Do not chase unless you know you will get the kill
  • If it is too far or running away, gather team to focus fire on next best target to out DPS its healing
  • Use fighters or if nearby point defense to destroy its repair drones (once these are destroyed, this ship is not a priority in mass combat)
Enforcer
  • Keep distance to avoid escalation damage
  • Always be on the move to make it more difficult for escalation damage
  • If more than one target in the area, attack this one first
Equalizer
Executioner
  • Keep distance and on the move to be a more difficult target (more than 7.5km to reduce damage)
  • If keeping distance is not an option, close the distance and keep moving around (it has poor tracking speed)
  • Focus fire on one side to strip armor and do most damage (it has low armor)
  • Use disarm, disable abilities, or energy drain abilities, its main cannon has a long recharge and requires a lot energy to blink
Ghost (Phantom Ghost)
  • Keep distance to avoid burst missiles and flak
  • Communicate with team of presence (Use reveal buoy's and detect functions)
  • Do not warp out if presence is known (Will launch salvo and instant kill)
  • Focus fire on one side to improve damage infliction
Gladiator
  • Keep distance and on the move to be a more difficult target
  • Position above, below, or behind. This will reduce their effective fire to 2 rounds
  • Focus fire on one armor location, weakest armor is along turrets but comes at the risk of being in its highest DPS zone.
  • If more than one target in the area, attack this one last
Hunter
  • Keep distance and on the move to be a more difficult target
  • Position above, below, or behind. This will reduce their effective fire to 2 rounds
  • Focus fire on one side to strip armor and do most damage
  • If more than one target in the area, attack this one first
  • Use point defense or fighters to destroy its leech drones
Infiltrator
  • Position behind as its effective fire reduces to one turret
  • Use own drone and point defense to destroy ions
  • If boost or blink available, wait till ion blast is launched to dodge it
Interceptor
  • Do not stay in front, gauss cannon has a ~140 degree kill zone out the front
  • Position above/below/behind as its effective fire reduces and will not be able to fire gauss cannon
  • Focus fire on bottom or rear as this is its weakest armor
  • If more than one target in the area, attack this one first
Leviathon
  • Keep distance and on the move to be a more difficult target, or position above/below/behind
  • Do not stay in front, leviathon has a 140 degree kill zone out the front
  • If you are stuck in front, keep at least a distance of 11,000m it will reduce effectiveness of the beam
  • Focus fire on bottom or rear as this is its weakest armor
  • If more than one target in the area, attack this one last
Overseer
  • Use cover of asteroids and keep on the move to be a more difficult target
  • Position above, below, or behind. This will reduce their fire to just missiles
  • Focus fire on bottom, top, or rear as this is its weakest armor and safest position
  • If its position is known, try to warp behind/next to them
Paragon
  • Use fighters against its bombers (paragon fighters do little damage)
  • Keep on the move in forward/backward vertical/downward movement (bombers will miss)
  • Use point defense continuously
Persecutor
  • Keep distance to avoid damage, similar to the brawler the damage increases with shorter distances
  • Always be on the move, the shots are in slower burst rounds which can easily miss its target
  • If more than one target in the area, attack this one first
  • It can blink 3-4 times with a recharge of 60-90s, most often this is used for escape
Pioneer
  • Keep distance to reduce damage and aim of its nuke (max range is 24000m)
  • Always be on the move to be a more difficult target, nuke is a slow dumb projectile which makes it difficult to hit distant targets on the move
  • Focus fire on one side to improve damage
Protector
  • If its position is known, try to warp next to them to surprise
  • Do not chase unless you know you will get the kill
  • Focus fire on it first if it is not running away
  • If it is too far or running away, gather team to focus fire on next best target to out DPS its healing
Raider
Ranger
Raven
  • Keep distance and on the move to be a more difficult target, also distance reduces overcharge beam damage
  • Use ability shutdown ,if available, to stop its drain ability
Reaper (Revenant Reaper)
  • Keep distance and on the move to be a more difficult target, or position above/below/behind as its effective fire reduces to missiles and 2 rounds
  • Do not stay in front, scythe beam has a 140 degree sweep horizontal
  • Focus fire on bottom or rear as this is its weakest armor
  • If more than one target in the area, attack this one first
Sentinel
Venturer
  • Rotate armor often due to armor breaking harpoons
  • Focus fire with drones, point defense, or main weapon on shield bouy before attacking ship
Watchman
  • Use cover of asteroids and keep on the move to be a more difficult target
  • Position above, below, or behind. This will reduce their fire to just missiles
  • Focus fire on bottom, top, or rear as this is its weakest armor and safest position
  • If its position is known, try to warp behind/next to them

Also please add in comments suggestions on tactics versus ships, I will try to keep updated.

Remember folks, know your ship and its armor/hp. Always rotate undamaged sections to enemy fire and always move/rotate to ensure 100% effective fire to target.

no Furion?

Yeah, that makes sense and I agree

The not detailed version is that the number of strength/weaknesses of ships got reduced and watered down. It makes the combat more new player friendly which is important for sure, but I prefered their original design for layers of complexity.

I'm new to the game, and i'm curious, what direction is the game taking then? Like, what made you leave?
Onimaho  [author] 8 Apr, 2017 @ 2:08pm
Hey everyone, this is outdated! I will not keep up with it as I do not like the direction the game has been going. Thanks for the support up till now, maybe down the road I'll come back.

Started with Aegis and here is what I have to say: Ships that drain energy are my worst nightmare. Besides that, the only other weakness the Aegis has is being partnered with a clocker or being separated from other ships. (It needs to support to gain energy too.)
Also, if the Aegis fires it's thingy, you can still get out of the way if you're fast enough/depending on the range. Keep an eye out for the giant thingy.

Raider: Keep tabs on when it has used it's shield. If you know it just ran out of shield, then it's vulnerable as a lightly armored ship. It has a range no longer than 10,000m.

Raven: Kite, kite, kite. max range on the ASG is 13km, stay above the target to mess with their aim and keep that ass moving. The chage beam may do less damage further out but you'll expose yourself to far less accurate fire by doing so. Pay attention to the enemy's energy bar as well, sometimes it's better to refocus fire to recharge the beam or drop your Drain Charge. Drain Charge is also an AOE utility, so if you find yourself next to an asteroid and low on energy, hit the 'roid with it to get that laser boomin again.

As a Ghost/Widow/Raven main...

-Ghost/widow: Paladins and Raiders are a pain in the ass, only because of the plasma field and raider detection buoy, Paragon is also pretty bad if they're running the detection buoy as well. Widow is fairly unreliable in close enagaments, in my opinion anyway, I like to sit about 9-10km out to avoid getting hit because it's lack of escape mechanic and poor maneuvering have gotten me killed quit a few times. Pioneers can be fun to fight against, even if they're buoy happy. Range on the bouy is ~8km I beleive, so as long as you maintain some standoff you'll be just outside the detection range. This is especially important for the Black Widow. With the widow, always lead your salvo with armor missiles. If the full slavo impacts then you'll only need to use a few of your primary missiles to finish cracking the armor. This is of couse, dependant on the ship you're attacking.

If wasted enough time in the raider to say this.

When it stops your pretty much dead.
Your smool , your fast , and you have a shield .
But only your size and speed save you much of the pain in most situations.
