Party Buffs
You may have noticed a bunch of circles in the middle of your screen with no clear labels, like this:

These are party buffs. Most last for as long as you're in the dungeon and they light up when that buff is active. This explains which one is which:

#
Name
Effect
1
Force Chime
Encounter higher level enemies, reduced enemy ambush chance. Incompatible with Force Hide.
2
Force Magic
Increased magic resistance.
3
Force Break
Higher status ailment resistance.
4
Force Hide
Encounter less low level enemies, increased chance to ambush. Incompatible with Force Chime.
5
Force Avoid
Increases party's evasion.
6
Force Hit
Increases party's accuracy.
7
Divine Life
Allows a character to use their MP as extra HP when they take a fatal blow instead of dying. Only works if you have MP. Only cast in battle.
8
Force Guard
Protects from enemies removing your buffs. Only cast in battle.
9
Whistle
Protects against formation destruction. Must use whistle ball or rod to activate and it only protects you once per item used. You can use the items before battle, though.
Individual Buffs

There are also two individual buffs, Divine Weapon and Divine Armor. These show up next to your HP. As you might expect, the sword is Divine Weapon and the circle is Divine Armor.
Divinities
Some of the Divinities also cause the icons in the upper left corner to light up. These are:

#
Name
Effect
1
Giant
Magic power up.
2
Black Wall
Physical defense up.
3
Spirit Wall
Abnormal status/magic defense.
4
Holy Light
Regen HP.
5
Sky Dragon
Go first this round.
6
Sword Bond
Resist charm / physical power up.
7
Light / Dark Veil
All enemies become short range, great protection for back row.
