You can also critical things like knife throws, ground executions, and finishing moves.

Finishing moves and ground executions need you to press attack once after you think the killing blow is done. Almost exactly like a counter chain or attack chain.

Knives are tricky. If your target is close then press Throw once as the knife hits. If they are far away press throw maybe a second or half a second before the knife hits.

You can also critical a stun itself. i.e.: After an attack, counter, vault, ect...press the stun button and you'll crit.
