By DyonisX
Hello fellow tankers, I'm Dyo and I'm here to offer you a guide on what I consider is the most efficient way of spending your upgrade points.

Introduction

Whether or not you've just started playing or otherwise you're a player around level 40 you might be wondering how to spend your Upgrade Points efficiently.

Basics

But wait a second! Perhaps you don't know what upgrade points are. Upgrade points are awarded to you every time you level up. You get 1 point each level. You can spend these points by going to the tank upgrade screen and clicking on the various +1,+2,+3 or so on icons.

The upgrade system works as a tree and such you must unlock the upgrades leading to the upgrade that you want to be albe to get it.
Point allocation and priorities
If you've just started the game, I recommend that you spend your first 4 points putting one in each of the 4 categories, Gun,Chassis,Tracks,Luck.

Your first priority should be to upgrade your tracks, which you can complete by level ~29 if you're doing it this way.

DO NOT underestimate tracks, this is something newbies often do because it seems like you don't require them, which is wrong. Tracks are arguably the most important upgrade out of them all. Without tracks you are unable to get over even the simplest of slopes and renders you a sitting duck which is a horrible situation to be in. Having more fuel also provides you with the option of travelling longer distances in order to get Supply Crates.

After you max the Tracks upgrade tree you have 2 big options, going for a better Gun or a better Chassis.

They are different sides of the same coin but I personally think that Gun is more important... and that is exactly why you're gonna upgrade Chassis first!

Now hear me out, we're not going to max Chassis just yet but we're going to get the 3 passives first before upgrading the Gun. These 3 I consider important enough to delay getting gun for. The upgrades are of course Heavy Plating, Advanced Internals and Adaptive Electronics.

All 3 together will provide you a 10% chance for getting 5 health and a different 10% chance of gaining 5 armor every single round. That combined with 10 additional Chassis points + the 1 you upgraded at lv 2-4 will provide you with improved survivability.
Getting these 3 passives will require 13 points(levels) to get, which means that following this guide you'll have them by level ~42.

The Gun is up next, this one you'll max completely before moving on. I suggest you get the Gun upgrades before the Gun passives first. Which means the +3 +4 and +5 branches. Each +1 Gun upgrade gives you +0.5% critical chance, and at max gun you'll have a 20% critical chance if I'm correct. I save the critical damage passives for after the general gun upgrades because there's no point having stronger criticals if you don't do crits as often.

After you've completed the Gun upgrades go back and max the rest of the Chassis, so that you'll have max armor. At this point you'll probably be relatively high level, over 70.

All that should be Luck. I saved Luck for last because the late game is when it's the most useful. You should treat it like Chassis and get the passives first and then the rest.

Here's what my level 84 tank looks like upgrade wise

As you can see I'm going for the 3 Luck passives first.

Edit : Remember that you can reset your Upgrade points once a week if you upgrade something by mistake or if you want to change your upgrades entirely.
You can do so by pressing the button on the upgrade screen.
TL;DR
Get max Tracks first followed by the 3 Chasiss passives then get max Gun and go back and finish maxing Chassis and proceed to upgrading Luck last by getting the 3 passives first.
Final Note
This is my very first guide and I made it so that people understand that even though you'll end up having 100 upgrade points at level 100 it still matters how you spend them before getting there.

I think the most important part is just Track first. I personally did chassis last entirely (I had 0 points in chassis by the time I was level 76) so my personal recommendation would be track > gun > chassis or luck, whichever you prefer.

It isn't explained why you put one in each tree at the start, I'm not saying it's wrong to do so but I can't think of a reason why that makes sense over just focusing trees?

i just want good weps and i like crates more than actually going for someone, so i need luck, i maxed tracks cuz i needed to move to them, chassis cuz i wanna live and luck for the boxes, i could not care bout dmg tho

Also keep in mind with the armour passives, one point of armour is worth 1n armour and the passives are worth 0.5/turn, where n is the HP setting (default 200hp dm, n = 2), in almost every game it works out better to go for the chassis points first, with the passives getting worse with levels.
