Report a translation problem
I'm going to be honest I don't really know how to create a mod. I essentially just used the steps from this guide to learn how to change some of the values in the text document game files to better suit me.
It was my first modding experience
Could you share your mod?
Modified stats:
Increasing base damage also increases effectiveness over range and damage by AI after other modifying factors appplied.
5.56mm nato rifles do base 45 damage. M4a1 carbine now has 30 rnd magazines and 6 spares max.
7.62-51mm nato rifles now do 50 damage per shot. HK417 BR magazine changed from 10 to standard 20 round capacity, with 5 spares.
7.62-39mm rr rifles (AK47) now have 50 damage.
5.45-39mm rr rifles now have 42 base damage.
All submachine guns now have 4x headshot multiplier and greatly increased effective range. Still takes many shots at range on armoured targets.
Micro Uzi: 33 base damage.
HK UMP .45: 50 base damage.
FN P90: 34 base damage.
Glock 18: 34 base damage. (I think)
In my version the damage and effective range of most of the weapons in the game better reflect reality. eg SMGs are no longer bb guns with 5 metres of range. Now every gun in Spec-ops the Line is now a viable deadly weapon, shotguns can injure or kill from across a room instead of needing to be point blank, SMGs have head-shot damage multipliers and rifles kill or incapacitate with 2-4 shots to the body on lightly armoured individuals.
I also changed magazine capacities and max ammo storage to be more realistic.
