Intro to your no-hit run!
Welcome achievement-loving fans of Shantae!

In this guide I will show you how I managed to beat each boss on a no-hit challenge on my path to 100% this game! First up, Ammo Baron.
Ammo Baron

Ammo Baron is so easy. You probably don't need my help for this. But, if you wanna cheese the hell outta this dude:

Hide in the foreground of the boxes. He can't hit you with any attack, whether charge or black cannonball. Then poke out to wack the red ones back as usual. That's literally it, easy peasy.
Cyclops Plant
This boss is almost as easy as Ammo Baron. All you need to do is have a monster milk, either variety, the better being better of course, and a super pike ball. Super pike ball makes this boss a JOKE. You instantly destroy it from just hopping in its face with cannon hops to keep at it, and you don't even need to swing your hair. Just as well, the pike balls will protect you from the bouncing eyeball. However, when he dashes from taking damage while bouncing he'll dash around faster, and your pike balls won't block that.

This doubles as a guide for how to no-hit and pike ball only, if super pike balls count, but if not I did this boss no-hit with a normal pike ball. However if you want the no hit first, super all the way. Once he flies around the room, your pike balls shove him back so he can't even hit you. You just need to hop behind him when he lands and have your pike balls and/or hair destroy him from behind. This'll take two or three lasers to kill him, but it's very fast.
Empress Spider
This boss is also pretty easy. Monster milk and super pike ball. Dodge the initial slams and smash the spider to bits as much as you can before it starts the egg and fire part. Both are pointlessly easy to dodge with your cannon and attacks, and as a bonus the spider will bounce away from you if it tries to slam on you with your super pike ball active. This shouldn't take over a minute or two, like the others.
Gem Farm!
Now that you've got the desert temple open for use, use it and abuse it. There's a room with 8 large vases and a cache that falls when you charge its right wall in here, and you'll get money faster than with any other tactic. Going into the palace, go to the top center door. From there, make your way through to the spot where the only save is. From there drop down right and crawl under the floor where the guard is and hop up. Through that door in the next room, with a rat and chain so you know you're there, the door leads to an area blocked up by purple rocks. Go right and keep going right: A wall with visible half-block-height bricks shows the secret room. Charge through to get your cache and keep going through the door and back for respawning vases. You'll probably wanna get to 999, and come back again.

Now: Upgrades. Weapon upgrade completionist or not, max out the hair speed and damage. It's insane. You're now OP. My Squid Baron fight was done with only the first tier upgrades, so you can imagine how much easier it'll be with max. (I got stuck in the temple under the purple walls. Woops.)

If you need picture referrences of where to go, I'll gladly add 'em!
Squid Baron! (2.0)
Lovely lovely Squid Baron, also a bit of a pain in the ass.

He's actually technically not hard at all. Super pike ball and monster milk. His first attack is his 3 wall bump slide, and then attack him when he stops. Then he'll stomp around. It's important to NOT use your cannon, since he'll almost always hit you in the air, just normal jumps work. Another slide and he'll start munching, and with your super pike balls and beefed up milky hair, you'll instantly kill him if you've hit him only a few times prior. Now, 2.0

The literal moment the cutscene ends and his idle animation starts, slam him with the scimitar. Don't even wait. You'll probably get hit. With the shell gone, he'll slide just as before. Next, he does fast, repetitive slams with fire pulses or whatever. He'll either go 1 2 3 or 3 2 1, or 1 3 2 or 2 3 1 across the map, so realize what he's doing and dodge it, little hops on each fire and make sure you're not in the way of his next slam because you will NOT be able to dodge it once it's happening. After his jumps, he'll slide again, then munch. Go in for the kill. There ya go, dead Squid Baron 2.0.
Dagron
I thought this beast was gonna be hell. I had so many problems fighting him normally due to not knowing his stun, but he's actually pretty damn easy. Dodge his tail and fire as usual, and hug the walls for (usually) protection. You have to hit the wall buttons and hop off of the fallen platforms to hit him to stun him, for some reason using the cannon to jump to hit him will not stun him. Super pike ball, best monster milk, he should be dead in two stuns.
Steel Maggot
Ahahahaha this boss is a joke. All he does is go left to right and shoot pellets if you hit the wrong buttons. Bubble shield, monster milk. You can easily duck under his pullets as it's suuuper slow. No pike ball needed since you're going for cannon shots. You should only need to do two sessions of hitting the three buttons and attacking his tail and you'll be good.
Pirate Lord 1st Form
Easy easy pirate squeezy. Super mad milk, super pike ball, and bubble shield. Absolutely, endlessly mash attacks at him. If you're fast enough, he'll die before he can even do his skeleton-platform thing. Bubbleshield will make you entirely invincible this fight, just don't walk into him. Easy as hell. By this point, you should have at least 7 super milks, pike balls, and shields.

Onto the next stage.
Pirate Lord 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Form
This boss: seemingly hard, actually easy. He's completely pattern based. Milk and pike immediately and run over to attack his face while he's firing the cannons. Then, hug that wall. The cannonball in the lead will bounce twice, and the moment it does run to the left to the corner until you hug, and then do the same thing back. Scimitar is easy. With the gun, shield blocks everything. Platforming is easy, and if you do this fast you can beat this form before he can loop again. Hurry up the platforms with your items active and slam your finger on that attack button as fast as you can, and jump into him when the platform drops. Combined with this and the attacks from the cannon stack on him, he should be dead.

3rd form. Easy but with only a complication. Cannons are literally the same thing, pretend the 4th cannonbal doesn't exist. Now the scimitar: This is purely luck. It's up to you to dodge this. I've managed to perfectly line up between two scimitars not in the space without damage. The guns now. Run into the left corner with your bubble shield. Wait out the firing, and when the first gun launches at you, run to the right, touch the wall, and run left. They'll go right over you. Now, same platforms. Attack him just the same way. Boom! Done. 4th form.

This is easy. Just keep your bubble shield up and you're invincible. Cannon, cannon, cannon, cannon:

You won! Half-Genie Hero!
Go whip some tail!
Now you should be Ret-2-Go! Remember, try and try again, you probably won't get it the first try!
