Introduction
Welcome to my simple tutorial on how to setup and use the depot/transportation system to allow your shops to be directly stocked from the placables depots.

The main aim of the depot is to allow you to supply your shops all over your park almost instantaniously. If setup correctly goods that arrive at the main gate will be transferred to the correct depot which will then be delivered to your shops by your haulers.
How to setup
To get the depot/tube delivery system working properly you need to do the following:

1. Have a main delivery area placed at the front gate. If you use a premade map the delivery area will already be built for you. If you are making your own map then you will need to place the delivery area on the middle of your border fence between owned and unobtainable land.
2. Place depot within park(preferably close to shops)
3. Build tubes from the depots to the main delivery area(linked underground) Tubes can also be placed above ground but the connections currently have to be underground so I would advise keeping everything underground so it's all neat and tidy.
4. Once depots/tubes have been placed, click on depot building and use the add button to add the shops you want to be serviced by this depot.
5. Finally, hire some haulers to transfer the goods from the depot to the shops.

If you've done all of this successfully the goods should appear in the correct depot almost immediately.

Here's a screenshot of a very simple setup.
You can see the goods have moved automatically to the depot and are awaiting transportation.

Please note as an added bonus the janitors will take rubbish bags to these depots to transfer to the front of the park and away. Therefore it's a good idea to have the depots placed in all corners of your park and linked with tubes, even if you have no shops to feed directly in the vicinity.
Advanced system
Once you get the basics down you can expand your system to cover your whole park. This saves a huge amount of travel time for your haulers and janitors and makes everything much more efficient.

Here's a couple of pictures of a more elaborate depot system in place with depot tabs open showing which shops they are servicing.

Tips
-You can place employee only paths to the back of the shops directly from the depot. The haulers will always prefer to deliver to the rear doors where possible so you can use this to your advantage in your design for a more pleasing aesthetic.
-You can also assign haulers to a specific zone of your park so you always have them close to restock the shops quickly. Just remember to build a staff room within the zone so your employees don't get tired out.
-Remember you can also build some scenery like a building or a garden around them to keep them hidden and make everything look nicer. This can then be saved as a blueprint for easy ploppability in the future.

Here's some screenshots of a few shopping areas with and without scenery visibilty.

Conclusion
I hope this helps newer players or anyone unsure of how to use the depot system as it really allows you to build a much larger and more succesful park in the long run. Just a small guide as it's not too tricky to get the hang of but if it helps anyone who's slightly confused then I'm happy :)

Good luck and happy building parkitects!

If there is no delivery area already built, it's likely you're playing a custom map? If so, you will need to edit the map in the scenario editor and add it yourself. It's pretty easy to do. Go to park utilities (it will be the first building) ensure it's rotated correctly (so the connector point is on the park side of the map) and place so the garage doors line up with the park fence line. If you're still unsure, I can edit the above guide to include this as additional info. :)

how do you build a "delivery area"???? what if it isn't at front gate??

The pipe can connect to any side of the main depot building. Any path will be fine for connecting to the depot, but I would recommend an employee only as this will keep the visitors away.

Thanks for your help. I think this answered all of my questions except where exactly underground does the connection have to be? Also, I am having issues with the depot needing to be connected to a path, this would be the employee path, correct?

Thankyou! I struggle with the different levels underground to connect them, think something so simple would be easy but when you have not played games since your teenager years it becomes stressful haha

I always place a depot+staff room close to each other and the shops, so no employee will need to walk around in the park. They always stay inside the shop area.

And some other thing you could do is place a depot / staff room below ground. So you don't have to build something around it to hide it.
