The way the model was designed, is what encouraged me to model it. The modelling process took around 2 days but the texturing process was quite interesting. I was currently looking for a new PBR texturing program and I managed to come across one which was easy to use and effective in creating eye catching textures. I did a few initial tests with an older model that I had, but as I was new to this, I wasn’t pleased with the outcome.

And so this led me to restarting the texturing process. Texturing the model for the second time helped improve my texture painting abilities and how metal models are textured. Using a base layer and gradually building up helps create the detail in the model. Not only this, using the programs inbuilt renderer allowed me to create compelling and eye pleasing renders.
