From the main menu, use the arrow keys (or gamepad stick) to navigate to the "Settings" option.
Settings
From the "Settings" menu, go to the "Sound" option.
Sound
From this menu, go to "VO Volume" and set it to 0.

WTF? I can't hear my AWACS anymore.
Unfortunately, VO volume also covers the AWACS and anybody in singleplayer trying to say anything.

I can't talk to my friend anymore.
Please use a secondary program to speak to your friends, then.

Unfortunately, this doesn't disable your own microphone... and if you turn the VO Volume to 00, you can't hear other people tell you that you've got a hot mic.
