After searching around I have found that to collect all the memoirs you must have chosen every option in the game. So pretty much just read everything!
I am 100% sure now after finding a guide in Japanese talk specifically about memoirs.

For the CG achievement just go to into their cg gallery and it should pop up!

@SoftByte I forgot to say, your guide is very useful, thank you! I initially began without any kind of guide and ended up accidentally unlocking an achievement for Chojiro, when my intention was to go through Goemon's route first, lol :contongue:

That's good to hear, thank you so much! I like to get the bad endings out of the way first if possible and save the best for last. From what I heard, Gekkamaru is considered canon, plus he's one of my favourites, so I was planning to go through his route last. Thanks again for all your help :SUBHAPPY:

@sootopolis You can get the bad endings out of the way! I'm surprised anyone is still using the guide as I never finished Gekkamaru's route. I'm glad you still find it useful! Maybe one day I'll actually finish it.

Hi and thank you for this really helpful guide! I was wondering if it's possible to get the bad endings out of the way first? Or is the story written in such a way that the good endings always unfold before we can get to options for the bad endings? I hope someone can help - thank you :ec_happy:

A lot of people are having problems completing the Memoirs and this guide gets you everything but ONE which is extremely frustrating. However, I finally figured it out so I'm telling people who need that last one. First, make sure not to get any affection points with Goro and then the SECOND time you have a choice of three different places to explore, choose Bukemachi. That's where you meet Goro if you're heading for his path but he won't show if there are no affection points and you'll get a different scenario. Make sure to keep reading all the way until you report back to Chojiro what you found out there and then your memoirs will be complete!

For Chojiro's last choice (#6 after Save 2 in Chapter 11), it looks like some version(s) of the game translate it as "You're right"/"You're wrong" instead of "I did"/"I didn't." Just a heads up to anyone else that sees that translation -- "You're right" is the Good End answer.

@crosshaloelite I'm sorry that you got the bad ending, however, the choices in this guide are not wrong. I can see how you thought the options for the bad end where for the happy end, as I had placed the headlines in places that could lead many into choosing the bad end options. When I had made this guide 3 years ago, placing the headline at the top had messed around with how the choices would appear so I had elected to placing them at the bottom. Still haven't figured out how to stop it from doing that, but I have now edited the guide so that Happy end shows up at the top. I hope that helps, and have fun with the happy ends!:steamthumbsup:

so followed the hanzo guide an got the bad ending right off the bat so whats the point to this if you follow the happy ending like it says an get the bad the guide needs TO be revised bcz i spent the whole time going thur hanzos route an got the bad ending right off the bat from the guide kinda stupid when i followed the happy ending an get a bad one REVISE IT OR SPLIT IT right choice to bad choices so mad i spent the time going thur hanzo route expecting the good to get a bad ending of the mc offing herself was trying to avoid bad endings
