Introduction
So, you're happily playing though Hexcells(Plus), when suddenly, *gasp*, you realize you suck. Well, you don't have to worry! This guide covers a secret method on how to continue on in Hexcells when you've completely run out of options.

Sure, you could use MATH or REASONING to solve the problem. But math is hard, right? I know I didn't do too well in math.
So Stop Rambling and Tell Me What to Do! I have Hexcells to Play!
Alright, alright. Jeeze. What you do is very simple, you take your (hopefully) laser optical mouse and find a cell that you are unable to solve. (Note: Only some cells can be used. Check the bottom of the Guide for tips on a good cell to pick.)

Now, you'll need a pair of eyes and your mouse for this next step. What you need to do is quickly slide your mouse over the cell over and over to determine what color lies underneath. A video demonstration can be found here. Please read the next paragraph to fully understand. (Yes, it's my Twitch, #sellout and what not):

What you'll want to notice is that rapid flailing over the cell causes it to wobble. Due to this wobbling, the very top and bottom edges of the cell can be seen uncovered by the orange cell covering. I will now refer to this method by the term Cell Wobbling. For some cells this is more obvious than others. But what you're looking for is something along these lines:

You can see that this cell (Taken from second 15 of the clip) is blue. You can see it instead of solving for it! Isn't that neat?
Some Additional Guidelines
A couple of things to note about the Hexcells secret:
  • Not all cells are made equal! - Some of the cells, no matter how hard you attempt to wobble them, are simply entirely against the act of wobbling. It appears to be that the more cells there are surrounding the cell you are attempting to wobble the less your cell will wobble. Therefore this strategy functions at its best when you are doing the edges of a puzzle (or have cleared most of the cells around an orange cell). This is what I have noticed, but it may not be accurate. Testing is still being done on what does/does not make a cell willing to wobble. Once I have concluded it for sure I will update this guide!
  • Blue is harder to see than black - When wobbling a cell, It is much easier to tell that a cell is black than tell if a cell is blue. Therefore the best way use this strategy while you are still unfamiliar with it is to wobble cells and only pick ones that you can clearly define as black. This will ensure you do not make mistakes and can, most likely, use what you solved to work on the puzzle a bit more.
