The chance of dueling again within 60 days after a duel has been reduced. (x0.5 -> x0.25)

Adjusted pre-duel encounter probabilities.
(Player Initiative : Mutual Discovery : Enemy Initiative ratio changed from 3:1:1 to 4:2:1)

Squire Traditions (Dynasty legacy) now affects the chance of death after a duel.

Removed cultural tradition and dynasty legacy modifiers affecting the blademaster trait acquisition chance.

Increased the effect of prowess on the chance of acquiring the blademaster trait. (from 2% to 2.5% per prowess)

Highlights

• Duel Event Overhaul: You can now choose to fight or flee before a duel begins.
• If the opponent is not killed or escapes after your victory, you can now decide their fate.
• 4 previously removed battle events have been reintroduced.


[DUEL]

When a duel is triggered, one of three scenarios will occur:

Player Initiative
• Escape is always possible without injury.

Mutual Discovery
• Escape may succeed without injury, depending on prowess.

Enemy Initiative
• Escape may succeed without becoming maimed, depending on prowess.

If the opponent is not killed or escapes after your victory, you can now decide their fate: capture, execute, or release.

Winning a duel now grants a +5 advantage modifier for one month.

Duel chance no longer scales with traits or prowess; it is now fixed at approximately 8%. (per combat phase)

AI duel chance reduced to 25% of the player's chance, making AI duels less frequent.

Several modifiers affecting duel results have been streamlined or removed.


[OTHER EVENTS]

The following events, previously removed, are now back:

• Befriend someone
• Gain gold
• Obtain a hook
• Gain martial lifestyle experience

These events now trigger with a 25% chance (default) per battle; only one can occur per battle, and they have a 60-day cooldown.

Hastiluder event trigger now depends only on prowess, not martial.

Separated hastiluder and battle event chances in the game rules.

Slightly adjusted commander trait event chance.

Reintroduced a 365-day cooldown for commander trait event.

Now only characters with the Vengeful trait lose opinion toward the killer when a close one is killed in a duel.

Fleeing after a duel now causes progress towards a rivalry. This was previously missing.

Removed the universal cooldown for Hastiluder and Commander Trait events.

Reduced the chance of gaining Commander Traits to make them less common.

Code cleanup & optimization

Commander traits are now granted based on the terrain where the battle takes place.
(Previously, you could receive a trait like Jungle Stalker even after fighting in the taiga. Now, if you want to gain the Jungle Stalker trait, you’ll need to fight in the jungle.)
