Reuploaded to add some missing tweaks.

Update: 26 Oct, 2024 @ 7:35am

(Balance)

Prowess now has a 25% lower impact on the chance of duel event compared to before.

The maximum occurrence chance for friendship, hook, spoils of war, and lifestyle experience events is now 25% (from 50% to 25%).

The chance of the friendship (diplomacy), hook (intrigue), spoils of war (stewardship), and lifestyle experience (learning) event is now less affected by their respective attributes (from per 1% to per 0.75%).

The targets of friendship and hook events now also include allied commanders.

The hook event that previously granted a strong favor hook with a 10% chance has been changed to upgrade a weak hook to a strong favor hook if you already have a weak hook against the target. (If you don't have a weak hook against the target, a weak favor hook will still be granted.)

The cooldown of the spoils of war event has been removed (the universal cooldown still exists).

The 5% base chance for the hastiluder trait event has been removed, and the impacts of martial and prowess have been adjusted.

The chance of the hastiluder experience event has been increased.

The martial lifestyle experience event will no longer occur when all martial lifestyle perks are unlocked (previously, it would grant other lifestyle experience when all martial lifestyle perks were unlocked).

(Fixes)

Fixed some minor potential bugs.

Update: 5 Oct, 2024 @ 3:14am

(General Improvements)

Duel events during battle will now only occur if the "can_start_single_combat_trigger" conditions are met. This includes:

The character must be an adult.
The character must not be elderly and have low prowess.
The character must not be afflicted by a fatal disease, etc.
(for more detail, https://ck3.paradoxwikis.com/Duel)

When selecting a target for a duel, the mod now utilizes "can_start_single_combat_banned_checks_trigger". This change ensures that characters engaged in a duel cannot enter into a second duel simultaneously, preventing overlapping duel situations.

Some code tweaks.

(Fixes)

Fixed some localization. Thanks to Vocker.

Update: 4 Oct, 2024 @ 8:41pm

(General Improvements)

The 60-day universal cooldown period now triggers after each battle, rather than after individual events occur. This change helps performance and reduces event spam. (There are still individual cooldowns for the spoils of war and commander trait events)

Optimized the code for acquiring the hastiluder trait.

Streamlined the logic for gaining the commander trait, aligning it more closely with vanilla mechanics for better consistency.

Added conditions to prevent potential bugs in the duel initiate event.

(Balance)

Reduced the amount of experience gained from the hastiluder event.

If your character already has one or more commander traits, the chances of gaining a new one have been reduced by 70%.

Update: 27 Sep, 2024 @ 9:38am

Cleaned up some unused code and fixed potential bugs.

The message codes have been overhauled, allowing for separate settings related to general events, imprisonment, and casualties through the new message filter feature. also, redundant code has been removed.

(Events)

A general cooldown has been introduced for all events, except for duel and friendship events:

Hastiluder, lifestyle experience, and gaining a hook events: 60-day cooldown.
Spoils of war event: 120-day cooldown.
Commander trait event: 360-day cooldown.

Spoils of war event: Gold rewards have been increased by 20% to compensate for the cooldown.

Commander trait event: The impact of cultural traditions that increase the chance of acquiring commander traits has been slightly reduced.

Friendship event: Opinion gain has been raised from +15 to +30.

Gaining a hook event: There is now a 10% chance of obtaining a strong favor hook instead of a regular favor hook.

Hastiluder event: You will no longer gain the hastiluder trait if you lose a battle.

(Duel Events)

Winning a duel now grants a small amount of legitimacy.

Capturing an opponent in a duel also grants a smaller amount of prestige and legitimacy.

Killing an opponent in a duel grants a 5% chance for the legend seeds event to occur.

The loser of a duel now has a -30 opinion of the winner and can become their rival.

Killing an opponent in a duel causes an opinion penalty similar to an execution, as the opponent’s family and friends may hold a grudge.

(Misc)

When winning a duel on the battlefield, you now gain a small additional amount of blademaster trait experience.

Losing a duel on the battlefield will grant a smaller amount of blademaster experience.

Now use prisoner_of_war_capture_effect instead of imprison (scripted_effect) when capturing an opponent after a duel.

(Bug Fixes)

Fixed a bug where prestige gained from killing an opponent in a duel was not proportional to the opponent's title.

Fixed a bug where the values displayed for the lifestyle experience event did not match the actual values gained.
