Nice one. I played an advanced version by Gigopler a while back. I remember seriously overcomplicating that and I had the same problem here. Thumbs up.
gibber 7 MAR 2019 a las 16:49
Nice map, thanks.
bullfrog 9 MAY 2018 a las 0:46
Nice one. Stood at the end admiring my handiwork and forgot to exit, so had to re-do that bit XD
hfmanson 5 FEB 2018 a las 14:02
Nice level!
metadavid 6 DIC 2016 a las 20:40
So clever! Amazing
gamecreator 20 MAR 2016 a las 22:47
The exit was the easy part for me. The hard part was seeing the funnel from the bottom. Was kind of sneaky but oh well. Great use of space and a fun puzzle.
dire.fcs 6 AGO 2015 a las 6:45
Nice and easy this version; while I'm trying to exit in the medium version...
TS_Mind_Swept 30 NOV 2014 a las 16:22
I did it! Yippiy! that exit thing was kinf of funny, i was all "Oh noes, the cube is off the buddin, what now?" and then i saw where it was headed and i was all "oh, cool". :p A bit of back and forth in it, but i managed to do it in about 5-10 minutes. I liked it. 8.5/10
There, i solved one of your tests (and i didn't use the CFG either, although i could have), now it's your turn to live up to your end of the bargin.
Petutski 18 AGO 2014 a las 15:25
Ha! Tricky exit, but fulfilling when conquered!
Belmoley 17 FEB 2014 a las 15:02
I experieced a glitch. I was messing around with the panel that angles up and the tractor beam, I had no idea what to do, so I started shooting the lights in the corner, to no effect. I tried to inch closer, and out of minecraft habit, I crouched. I got out of the beam, and started hovering against the ceiling, immune to laser dammage. I saw that the "Panels" were lights, not white panels, and started trying to get down. I didn't go back into the beam, but I went through the only fizzler I could reach, then I fell. I couldn't perform the glitch again.

This one got a little harder, or at least less obvious with the latest edit. Therefore "easy" could be kind of misleading for this one. The other one should be fine though, nothing unusual there.
Dogman15 26 AGO 2013 a las 3:03
I'm too tired to figure out how to solve them. And despite them being "easy"...
toncica  [autor] 26 AGO 2013 a las 3:02
The tests didn't work or you're not motivated to solve them?
Dogman15 26 AGO 2013 a las 2:54
Sorry man. Maybe it's because I'm tired, but these two tests just didn't work for me.
Nox Deleo 22 AGO 2013 a las 10:25
Loved the whole above/below navigation element. That was cool.
Prototype 17 AGO 2013 a las 19:32
Having played the medium version already this one was simple. Although I didn't see the reason for the lift? Good map.

toncica
good map.
I did not find it easy.
but with a bit of exploring, logical.
I got the end solution by accident.
then went back to see how, ahh, of course.
easy with hindsight :)
solution was starring me in the face.
thumbs up.
please let me know what you think of my new map:

I came up with something while experimenting in the editor,
that I have not seen before.
remember the title.
as you will need it :)

Excellent chamber, thumbs up! Unusual trick at the end.
Hazelton 6 MAR 2013 a las 11:06
This was excellent, clever and precise. And who doesn't love tractor beams? It took me a lot of walking back and forth, though, to figure out how to put it all together. I'm looking forward to the advanced version.
mikemoody 31 ENE 2013 a las 14:07
Dang I got stuck right off the bat... :) I ran all over that map looking for the solution.. So I had to come and get "help" and now I see. Well made map my man, keep it up: I will play the other one too. Hope I can make it by myself.......

Very nice. Glad I played the other one. Made it a little easier. Thanks.
Mitch McWiggins 26 DIC 2012 a las 15:56
Really fun, thanks.
Donderbus 23 DIC 2012 a las 17:10
That was fun man, liked it!
NJP 7 18 DIC 2012 a las 14:27
One of the best Chambers I have done yet! It is very easy to overthink what you need to do. I actually had to come back to this one after failing the first try. Glad I did!
Definitely one of my favorites. :)
Leo 18 DIC 2012 a las 13:56
Awesome map! Nice puzzle and great design. (Grats zu >1000 rates =D)
Thrawn«¦ 16 DIC 2012 a las 1:27
Very, very good ;)
leess9253 16 DIC 2012 a las 0:09
Really cool map. I love this chamber!
Tom Haramori 15 DIC 2012 a las 15:33
Very nice test chamber. Just trying to get everything right had me going around in circles so many times that I got dizzy!!! I wouldn't change a thing.
toncica  [autor] 15 DIC 2012 a las 8:07
Metzger Ben posted a solution video in the comments. Here it is again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1wNuYKB_Ks

I don't get it can somebody help me i tried for 1 hour :/
toncica  [autor] 15 DIC 2012 a las 6:08
Thank you all.

@wildgoosespeeder, I tried that again, I remember now also doing it while making the chamber. At least in this constellation it doesn't change a thing. The antlines always take the same positions no matter how the order of connections is.
Robolovsky 15 DIC 2012 a las 5:59
Really nice map. Took plenty of working out. Well done
yinzsjagoffs 13 DIC 2012 a las 19:29
Oh, that's cute at the end! Really good lighting, too.
wildgoosespeeder 13 DIC 2012 a las 11:58
@toncica
Delete the laser catcher and then place a new one where the old one was. Then instead of hooking up the door and then the laser field, for example, hook up the laser field and then the door.
toncica  [autor] 13 DIC 2012 a las 11:48
Hm, I failed to notice a difference in the order of connections so far. Now that you mention it I shall pay special attention to that next time.
wildgoosespeeder 13 DIC 2012 a las 11:28
@toncica
Oops, missed that part where you used light strips. Weird, I just can't help but feel that it can be done. LOL.

Actually, now that I think about it, just through trial and error on my own part when I create my tests, I found out the order in which you hook up test elements to a "switch" type test element can make a difference in appearance.
toncica  [autor] 13 DIC 2012 a las 11:22
Yes, as I said I used light strips but the antlines couldn't be tamed. Regarding the goo pits, it's a choice not a must. If you go with it there need to be light strips. I found it weird looking when there were gaps of lighting. Since it's just goo down there and nothing of interest I found it best not to draw attention to any specific area and have it all the same. Compare to the previous map , full lighting did not resonate well there and I kept only those light strips that were necessary in my opinion.
wildgoosespeeder 13 DIC 2012 a las 10:43
@toncica
Did you try using strip lights to manipulate the antlines? This is where I wish the antlines, after automatic placement, could be manipulated manually and directly.

You don't have to take this recommendation, just my opinion:
Speaking of strip lights, I see you went overboard with them near goo pits. To me, it just feels unnecessary, just like the goo pit going under grates. It makes sense near the cube dropper, but not everywhere.
toncica  [autor] 13 DIC 2012 a las 9:35
That's great to hear that you succeeded in this map after only playing the official part of the game. Thanks for sharing.

20 minutes isn't that long though. Don't want to scare you, but there are customs which take several hours to solve. ;)
Damaskar 13 DIC 2012 a las 9:28
Wanted to try out Portal 2 custom maps for the first time and thought it would great to start with an easy map. Your puzzle took me 20 minutes to solve... xD While I believe that this map is not easy, I really liked figuring out the very creative puzzle you came up with and found stepping into the elevator very rewarding. :) Good map!
_delta 13 DIC 2012 a las 6:39
this map was FAR from easy! it was clever and challenging though! nice work!
toncica  [autor] 13 DIC 2012 a las 4:11
@wildgoosespeder, I had it exactly as you suggest, but the look was not satisfying. The antlines would cross each other even with the laser field's position switched. Also forcing the antlines with light strips never resulted in a look I was happy with. I always have antlines first and only resort to signage when I find no way to make them look neat. For the pedestal button it was a minor problem, I decided it wouldn't hurt to have signage there, rather then having the antlines run under the stairs which bothered me a little.

I do think these things are important, we're on the same page here. It sometimes just doesn't work, the editor insists on having a silly route for some antlines and it does not listen.
Mr Beans 13 DIC 2012 a las 2:30
@toncica nope it happend all by itself, if i get time ill upload a yt vid
wildgoosespeeder 12 DIC 2012 a las 20:45
This map is easy? More like tricky; finding out at what position you are in the chamber is portal placement valid and thinking ahead before you act. Nicely done! I even like the contraption to have you both at the exit and open it with the right combination. That one requires some thought.

Just a design recommendation for this chamber, keep everything antlines except for the square symboled connection (the stairs). Also, just move the laser field's editing position from the right to the left. This will make the antlines neater, if you take my design recommendation.
toncica  [autor] 12 DIC 2012 a las 12:32
Really? That never happened to me, not even once, and I haven't heard from anybody else about that. You sure you didn't somehow provoke that to happen?
Mr Beans 12 DIC 2012 a las 4:32
nice map. the only issue I found is that the cube at the end would not block the lazer sometimes. also I think I cheated some parts by throwing the cude over fiz feilds XP #F4F
SWATON 12 DIC 2012 a las 3:39
great map!!!!!!!!!! thx
JackPliskin 11 DIC 2012 a las 14:16
@toncica : I don't spam usually but it's my first map and I would be happy to know what people think about it.
dervit 11 DIC 2012 a las 13:33
very nice. no useless position. rather what what i expected to find withing the game. got my brain working. i feel lame like skylines.
