the name of the quest makes me think back nostalgically to the time when I was a teenager and Spellforce I had just been released and I played that game for the first time: there was also a giant that you had to kill before you could go to another map could and that questline had the same name as this quest: The Bigger They Are

I Sparred with him for several days ( in game ), raising my Level 83 Adventurer to Level 91.
8 Easy LEVEL UPs by just the two of us sparring together. So I rewarded him with 100 GOLD INGOTS, but he wasn't Interested in Gold. Then I tried to Gift to the Giant a Dozen Live Goats, but he squashed them and wasn't interested in Goats. So I Marked him for Summons..
Left the little Valley entrapment, traveled to a large and lush green field, and Summoned him to that Location - HE WAS HAPPY ! Finally the Giant Giant no longer was trapped in that valley pass. HE WAS FREE ! He settled down to just enjoying his new location. Content, Peaceful as long as you didn't get too close, and very much Free to Roam all of Skyrim.
Do Not Kill Giants, protect them and lead them to Freedom. LET MY PEOPLE GO ! :-)

Well Duh, NEVER Kill the Giant Giant ! He's over 14,000 hit point damage sponge... so Mr. Giant Giant is your new Very Best Friend Forever. Go ahead and let him wack on you until your light and heavy armor skills are both 100. Go ahead and sneak past him and pepper him with a thousand arrows until your Archery & Sneak are 100. Go ahead and DESTRUCTIVE and HEAL OTHER RESTORATION him over and over for days... until both are 100.
= Then do it all LEGENDARY, until Your Character Hits Level 100. NEVER EVER KILL THIS GIFT GIANT !

Well, if you want to kill 4-5 more mobs, get some good orc armor, then it is fine. Otherwise no depth, no immersion, just one stupid hard to kill giant...

The thing that made me 100% decide to subscribe to this mod was seeing how irritated "Corrupted Gamer" was about it. No clue why, it just brought me joy to see the dude so cross. 10/10 mod, would subscribe again.

first off, it was super short!!! i bought the book at a GOD AWFUL PRICE for a BOOK i mean come on books are worth like 40 gold or less not 300! second off, i get sent to the burial of whoever giant slayer, yeet off his clothes and weapons and then go to a pass on the mountains and defeat: and i Quote: 4 spiders, 4 smugglers (leather armor mercenaries) and the giant himself. nobody talks to me, there is no immersion like the author said, no dungeons no quest no unique characters nothing. you kill the spiders and the smugglers and then follow the cave out of this exit into this open battlefield where you see the giant himself followed by two dead orc hunters. i didnt feel like i was doing someone a favor by killing this beast. yeah it was hard to kill him and you needed the weapons from the giant slayer to help you, but what i didnt expect was a tiny tiny hitbox on the giant and only the chest armor labeled as giant slayer armor which didnt do anything.

it has a morrowind ID for its quest not a skyrim ID or a oblivion ID... skyrim and oblivion IDs use numbers usually and sometimes numbers and letters... morrowind IDs use _ and all letters

no crashes for me. as for the blocked passage you take a left destroying some webs. you can in fact jump over the obstruction.

Crashes Everytime I come close to the Monument

The burial site kills my fps, the flames are like a rainbow.

Not sure what's going on - but the shrine/burial place that presumably starts this quest causes an immediate CTD. It's definitely this mod, so I'm just going to have to delete the file - but given the various comments about "corruption" I'm guessing it's just irrepairably broken at this point.

Can someone help me? I can not go through Bodean's pass. there are rocks in front of the entrance. it looks like the mod was placed under the mountain and was not adjusted properly. is there any way to fix this?

It seems that the problem that caused the files to be corrupted has been resolved. Now I am able to (re)subscribe to this mod, but I haven't tried to play it yet.

Has anyone that knows about modding checked with the author to see if he would mind them fixing the error? I know he has quit modding but sometimes 'retired' mod authors do allow others to curate their work. The big reason I ask is that I started this quest once and never got to finish it when my old PC died.

please fix the mod, the most recent update appears to have corrupted it, the workshop image is also broken.

Any chance this is going to get fix, the new steam update broke it. Most likely something really stupid and I accidently uninstalled and can't find any non Workshop related downloads.

Thirteen Oranges gave up on modding ages ago it seems. All their mods are dead. Shame since I like them. As for the corruption, maybe an update broke it? Bethesda is getting good at that lately

I beat the giant without doing the rest of the mission

Are these quest mods all compatible with each other? I downloaded all of thriteenoranges' stuff and so far this one and the Sourcery one aren't tracking correctly. I go to the locations to start the quests and nothing happens.

For everyone who is having issues with CTD when you get to the island: This mod is incompatible with Here There Be Monsters. Just disable HTBM in your load order, do your business on the island, leave, then reenable HTBM.

I crash every time I approach the statue. I'm not even trying to do the quest, I'm trying to head to the castle for Dawnguard. This is game breaking.

im really sad. none of your quest mods work for me. :( ive gone through and found that your mods make my game crash when i try to start a new game. i hope you update these quest mods when the remastered skyrim comes out. :)

Unfortunately this mod competes with the popular Khune Redguard home mod. They utilize the same worldspace. It can be gotten around using tcl and jumping around a bit to get into the cavern. You can't use the Khune house though.

Otherwise it's fun. Really short but super lore friendly and a great addition to the game. I had no issues with crashing or FPS drops but I'm not playing on a potato. Considering this mod uses only vanilla assets I would assume anyone running into FPS drops is probably not up to par hardware wise OR using too much RAM for other applications.

I found the book on complete accident. Felt like a natural part of the game. Kudos dude. Can't wait to start your other mods! Sorcery was fun too!
