Rats, I have done all the tricks I know, but this will not install for me to play.
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 26. jan. 2014 kl. 22:34
Haha, wow, that happened to me once, but it was only one turret, not FIVE! Crazy stuff. Thanks for playing.
Tactical Shrubbery 26. jan. 2014 kl. 15:23
When all the turrets fell out of the trash chute, I litter-aly (ha) ran for cover. I am not lying when I say that 5 of them landed right-side up and mowed me down.
ReCursia 15. okt. 2013 kl. 21:38
Nicely
mechtakendall 27. aug. 2013 kl. 17:42
Ha, two of the turrets landed on their feet and shot me up pretty good before I grabbed a cube to protect myself. Otherwise, nice puzzle. Design 7/10 Difficulty 2/10
warmCabin 7. juli 2013 kl. 23:08
Good LORD did that trash chute scare me!
I stumbled up on the real solution by accident XD
VER clever, I'm subscribing to a few more of yours. Would you be willing to do my co-op chamber ?
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 17. maj 2013 kl. 20:29
Thanks buff00n!

When I pressed that button I thought I had a take a wrong turn into Garry's Mod.

After the pre-puzzle entertainment I wasn't expecting to have to think, but the second part was a suprisingly good brain teaser. I spent several minutes trying to figure out how to use the funnel to get the first cube past the fizzler before I realized I was doing it the hard way. .
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 6. maj 2013 kl. 12:16
Thanks, Zoraya and stormsend! I've subscribed to more of yours.
stormsend 5. maj 2013 kl. 1:25
Very good puzzle. I was impressed with the logic. Funny part was when I pressed the button and ran for my life. I am enjoying all your maps and I appreciate getting comments on my maps. Thanks. Keep on making them.
Zoraya 27. apr. 2013 kl. 15:06
I had a lot of fun with this map.
I loved the surprise in the first part. First i was shocked what mess i caused with the button but than i had to laugh :-) Very funny.
I also enjoyed the puzzle at the end, really like this kind of logic.
Excellent map!

If you´d like to play, here is one of my latest maps:

Singh and rolandwood1024, I have subscribed to your maps. Thanks for playing and for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it.
Roland 9. apr. 2013 kl. 21:43
btw here is a simple one with only one dropped item and a really weird effect.

Roland 9. apr. 2013 kl. 21:37
The falling items were cool. They did create horrible lag if I allowed them to get sucked up and all jammed together at the source...The puzzle in the last room was sweet. Very simple solution that my brain refused to see until a sudden AHA! followed by a sheepish DUH! came to me...lol. Great!
Singh 6. apr. 2013 kl. 16:16
Nice map. Enjoyed it. 3am though is not the time to play this map. Had to look up your hint for the last part.

Feel free to check out my newest map as well here:

http://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=135038751

My other map is probably more challenging than this but this one I think is more fun. Enjoy.
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 3. apr. 2013 kl. 12:05
Myr, thanks for playing! Sorry about the lag--I experienced a bit of that while developing and I wondered if others would too... but then I went ahead with it anyway. :)
Thanks.
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 31. mar. 2013 kl. 9:15
Geneosis: awesome, thanks for the tip!
Geneosis 31. mar. 2013 kl. 4:32
One more little info about franken cubes : If you place them in the map without dropper, you can turn them into laser cubes, change the orientation of the laser cube as you want, and then change it back to franken cubes, it will conserve the orientation ^^
Skyferret 30. mar. 2013 kl. 21:44
When it falls from a dropper, it's pretty random. Even a shallow drop and it could bounce onto its back. So it's as random as traffic in Hong Kong.

I forgot to mention that the "balling up" glitch only happens when you set it on a button. And it's when you take it off the button, it stays balled up. It's as if the games source engine forgets to loosen up on the legs.
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 30. mar. 2013 kl. 21:33
Ha!! Nice.

Is it the same way when it falls from a dropper? Just curious. Anyway, good to know, thanks.
Skyferret 30. mar. 2013 kl. 21:30
Actually, Frankenturrets aren't all that random. If you pick one up and set it down (provided it's not balled up), it will walk in the direction you set it down.

As for turrets, I once tossed one and it did a backflip and landed feet first. You think I could ever do that again? Not a chance. LOL
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 30. mar. 2013 kl. 21:23
Yeah, I wish the frankens were like the laser cubes, in that you can position the laser cubes at whatever angle you want in the map editor, but with frankens it's random (or so I assume). And yeah, staying balled up is too bad. Anyway, if I ever did make one like that, I don't think I'd have ~40 items necessary for the puzzle, heh heh; maybe just 5 or 6. That reminds me, I should make an official count of how many things I have falling down there.

While I'm at it, 'nother fun fact for all: in all the tons of times I tested this map before publishing, there was one time when everything fell down as usual EXCEPT there was one turret that landed upright and was still active, waiting to kill! Luckily it was facing some corner. Funny. Thanks everyone for letting me talk your ears off, I just can't help myself.
Skyferret 30. mar. 2013 kl. 14:57
Actually, maybe it would make for an interesting map. Out of all that pile of stuff, only the Frankenturret has the ability to walk around. That could be used as part of the solution because it can walk to a trigger. But there's a slight glitch. If a Frankenturret is put back upright, sometimes it will stay balled up and wont go. Just a thought.
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 30. mar. 2013 kl. 14:48
Thanks, Skyferret!

And hopefully anyone's fear of having to solve the rest of the map using all of the stuff that falls out of the hole is quickly dispelled. :) (Although that could make for an "interesting" map, hmmm...)
Skyferret 30. mar. 2013 kl. 14:43
Nice little surprise. "What the heck do I do with this pile of junk?" LOL. But yeah, I liked that solution. That's something I would probably do in making a puzzle. Having to purposely fizzle the cube to solve it. Not a long map, but a good one.
James Bradford Huston 30. mar. 2013 kl. 9:44
Ha ha, I beat it. cool solution :)
Geneosis 30. mar. 2013 kl. 4:49
@Mitch McWiggins : You can read the comments I made on the discussion about #F4F ;) I explained a bit how I think it should be used ^^
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 29. mar. 2013 kl. 19:52
Thanks Skyroots!
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 29. mar. 2013 kl. 19:51
Sure, hmm, how about: there's a way to get the blue cube into that room without touching it. Was that hint too big/small? You'll get it! Thanks for the good words.

And what achievement was it? That's interesting.

btw All: I'd like to think the puzzle really was on the simple yet challenging side, but I typed that it's easy/medium-difficulty just to cover my butt in case any of you could just breeze right through it, you know? haha Thanks.
SkyRoots 29. mar. 2013 kl. 19:42
I liked the puzzle at the end as well as the unclog surprise. Good one!
James Bradford Huston 29. mar. 2013 kl. 15:19
lol, give me a hint on the last room :(

love the level design, very sleek. Sweet, and I got an uncheivment for pressing that button in the service duct
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 29. mar. 2013 kl. 12:31
8MMW, thanks! I'll check out the other parts too.
8MMW 29. mar. 2013 kl. 11:31
Well done puzzle. The last part was actualy easy to complete, but it took me some thinking about how to finish it (that's how it should be).
The first surprise was really unexpected!
For the F4F, you can try my Thinking with cubes 0 . It's an easy chamber, but the next parts require more thinking.
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 29. mar. 2013 kl. 8:41
Thanks, Castor Russ and daloboy, glad you enjoyed it! And I have Jumpin' Jivin' and No. 45 in my queue now.
Castor Russ 29. mar. 2013 kl. 0:12
Really liked it, fun to see it unclog, then a good puzzle at the end that actually took some figuring out.
daloboy 28. mar. 2013 kl. 21:45
Ok! Just finished it! You know, when you get that felling...after many minutes on just one puzzle, and it hits you! Nice touch!
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 28. mar. 2013 kl. 21:32
haha, yeah. And at the end of my comment I meant to type "anyone else seen that?" So, I'm glad to hear I'm not going nuts. :)
daloboy 28. mar. 2013 kl. 21:28
Yes! I have seen them moving upward or on the ceiling! Very funny!
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 28. mar. 2013 kl. 21:26
Thanks daloboy!
That reminded me, meant to mention, fun fact: originally, it was going to be nothing but frankens falling down. But on my first test, it seemed like not very many fell. So I walk over, look up and what do I see? Creepy clusters of frankens climbing up the walls! Weird, wacky stuff. So, that's why it's such a variety of stuff. I saved that franken map separately though, I'll probably publish it soon-ish.
daloboy 28. mar. 2013 kl. 21:11
Speaking of "clog", here is my version of it!
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 28. mar. 2013 kl. 19:50
*still had updates pending, not "still have." ugh typos
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 28. mar. 2013 kl. 19:48
Good idea, and I'm not sure why I just didn't do it earlier, as I've seen tons of people putting this tag. I think part of it was that I still have updates pending on many of my maps until just recently, due to a bug, so now's a good time for me to insert the tag.

Also, for F4Fers: does that mean to actually click the follow button on a player or just to find & play the individual maps? Or whichever? Just making sure I do it right (glad to have discovered there are people who actually play each others' maps, as I spent a bunch of weeks last year making my first few maps without too many plays, ha). K, thanks.
Geneosis 28. mar. 2013 kl. 18:22
No problem ^^ You can keep the description of F4F with the tag if you want, as many people still don't know what it means X)
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 28. mar. 2013 kl. 18:14
Thanks Geneosis! Done and done.
Geneosis 28. mar. 2013 kl. 17:54
I do not have time to play your map for now sorry, but I wanted to precise that you should add the tag "#F4F" in the description of your maps ;)
More infos about this tag here => http://cs2bus.com/workshop/discussions/-1/882949475706154554/?appid=620
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 28. mar. 2013 kl. 15:58
Jade BGE, really glad you had fun!

daloboy, that staircase of cubes to the button is hilarious. I'll have to fix that glass now...but not before I try that myself. :)

Thanks all for playing, I have more of your maps on my list.
Jade BGE 28. mar. 2013 kl. 15:18
I loved it! Clog, perfect name too. Fun to play. Really good. Thanks Mitch
mood3rd 28. mar. 2013 kl. 13:18
Mitch McWiggins
it is only similar in reguards to falling turrets.
but here it is:
simple turret problem 7- choose your buttons wisely
http://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=104514250
glad you are updating, as I suggested :)
I hope it helps.
daloboy 28. mar. 2013 kl. 13:10
Hi Mitch! Was fun! I get the title now! From the entrance, I could portal to the exit ! So after the clog, portal back! Did not use the blue beam ! Nice view from the exit! Will try again tonigh the part I bypass.
Mitch McWiggins  [ophavsmand] 28. mar. 2013 kl. 9:29
Thanks, mood3rd! I'd love to play your map that was similar, which was it? I'll look for it.
The oh-no-I'm-falling-to-the-goo effect wasn't necessarily intentional, but just for kicks I think I'll change it to glass, why not.
I was aware that people may try to go over to the companion cube but wasn't sure what to do about it. Laser field is a good idea, I'll see if I can make that work.

Thanks again.
