Did you also check whether you're downloading on a high ping? Did you also allow the addon to fully download and unpack/mount to Gmod first before joining a server? Corrupted downloads are almost always caused by either Internet issues or the addon didn't mount properly to the game. Most of the time, addon mounting issues are related to corrupted downloads.

If none of the mentioned methods work, then there's honestly not much I can do to help you with. Over 3600 people had subbed to this addon, yet you're the only individual experiencing an error in-game.

Tried unsubbing and deleting the gma file and then resubbing again but it didnt work.

Your download is corrupted. Un-sub, delete the gma file from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons , re-sub. Also make sure your Internet isn't experiencing a high ping crisis when you're downloading.

Idk but whoever drew the azur lane characters really likes kemonomimi(animal ears, in this case cat/fox/dog/idk)
