hey mate wicked map maybe an easter egg to do with fixing the tower to get a signal out for an evac of some sort would be cool maybe even find some code for doors to perks like mule kick area, or enocorperate your differnt rayguns into it idk, but a buildablle sheid and the abillity to do a second pack a punch would be good

It's hard to say when the re-imagining will be released. I would rather not give an estimation of expectation. I don’t want to disappoint, since I could be wrong about it. I have projects that I switch between constantly. I promise to release the re-imaging in the future. Regardless, I appreciate the comment sent!

holy shit, you're making a re-imagining of this map? that's great to hear, dude! this has been one of my favourite go-to survival maps in the workshop just cause i loved the aesthetic of Alpha Omega and this had a really fun layout, although I do agree with MyJellyDonut's comment that this map holds tons of potential to include way more. is there an ETA for the release?

Well to start, We know the four variant wonder weapon concept didn’t appear until the end of Black Ops ll, Origins. I’m treating this version as an original Black Ops zombies map. That’s been remastered like the other Black Ops zombie maps on Chronicles. There are going to be new gameplay elements that replace the prototype ray guns, so it might be fine. I know the Prototype variants are iconic for this map, but it has been taken to a new direction. I do plan on making a BO4 mod in the future, but I don’t know if it will happen for sure. When I started working on it I was sure to include the original that way, since it’s BO4 weapons like the original version of the map.

Why not include the custom ray guns in the new version you plan to release? Its the most unique aspect of the map. When you take out the best part of your map it losses a lot of the attraction to play it.

Melee the Avogadro multiple times until a certain point. I suggest doing this process with one or two zombies left wandering around. Quick Tip, You can speed up the process by getting a bowie knife!

I would consider the re-imagining to be new, but will retain elements of the original iteration. Set in a location in New Jersey, near a river that some regard as the true beginnings of the Space Age. Currently, the layout progression is the same as the original. The Perks, Wallbuys and Mystery Box locations are similar. The map will use Black Ops 3 mechanics and weapons for the base install, so mods will be encouraged to modify built-in content. The prototype ray guns are important, but will not be included in the Black ops 3 base weapons. I plan on including those variants when I start working on mods in the later future. When the map is released, we’ll see if it was the right call to make the moon bounce back.

So the new version will basically be a completely different map, or still based on this one? Not quite sure I understand. Will it still have the ray guns? Honestly I'd keep this version up for people that want it especially if the new one will be completely different, I don't see a reason to delete it personally but up to you

Earlier this year, I decided to re-do the version I’ve been working on for a few years. It’s been a consideration that’s been swirling around to the point of actualization. The new direction makes me think this is a better route to move forward. The map will be set in a new location and set in the history of Black Ops 1 zombies. It’s still going to be called Frequency, but re-imagined as its own map. I’m planning to delete this version and upload the new version with the same name. Both maps can still be playable if anyone downloaded this version. It’s already been a long time, so I wanted to release something about the map. Screenshots of Frequency made in 2022 have been uploaded and made public for anyone that wants to see the scrapped unfinished version.

This is my first comment, but not my first time playing. I played this map a long time ago. I really enjoy this map. The colors, the size, the mannequin Easter egg, the radio. I sincerely enjoy this map…however…this map has SO MUCH POTENTIAL. I really wish I could get into more rooms and look at all the details of what the facility entails. Add some radios for dialogue and lore. A fully fleshed out Easter egg would be fantastic maybe with a boss fight or drop a nuke to end the game. Regardless, I rate this map a solid 8/10. Only actual legitimate issue I have with the map is Mr. Sparky he a lil annoying.

10/10 vibes...feels like a nice little bonus map Treyarch may have included with Black Ops II at release. However, is there any way to deal with the avogadro? I like him as a map mechanic to keep the player moving but it'd be nice to be able to throw an EMP at him to get a break for a round. Also The barrel near the mysterious box has an annoying clip.

The map is not bad but for gods sake, fix that barrel next to the mystery box near PAP on the outside ramp. I got downed from it. ran and picked up a gun after getting mule kick from the free perk and right as i left the box i got trapped. disable the collision or something.

Yep, I’m still working on Frequency rework. I’m aware that I haven’t updated the map in a long time. This is honesty due to not knowing when it will be released in time. I do guarantee it is still being worked on until it’s finished for release. Simultaneously, I have been working on new zombies maps that are hopefully enjoyable, unique, and worth the time.

this is a pretty solid map and im not sure if you still plan on updating this map, but if you do I think these things can make it better:
no perk limit
double pap
buyable ending or ee ending

Hey CriSirens, I might include a health cap for zombies at round 50. The Cold War changes are definitely refreshing and has a good progress system in round based maps. Although, the goal of this rework is for the gameplay to feel like a classic map from the past. Some examples include no AATs, traps for high rounds, riskier gamble on the box, etc. If I execute the weapons accurately, they will play like WAW-BO1 and BO2 launch maps. Weapons could be good, bad or extreme on that scale. Others might have unique characteristics or effects when compared to other weapons. The wonder weapon will be the star of the show, like in most classic maps. All of this is a big part of the zombies DNA and these three maps will try to recapture that. I still respect your helpful suggestion, although it doesn't fit with the philosophy, but thank you anyway.

Yep, I’m still reworking Frequency. It’s taking quite a bit, but hopefully I’m making the right decisions for the map. I won’t be adding the BO4 HUD for not fitting with the new version of the map. Once it's out, I’m sure it’s going to make sense why that’s the case.

TIPS:
1. Kill all manequin heads to get free perk from shed.
2. Do not unlock the sofa top of yellow house for a great fall off camping spot just outside on the ledge.
3. Training around the target area is nice for high rounds.
4. Buy the Bowie Knife to 2 shot melee kill the Electric Miniboss.
5. 3 radios in map for awesome song

For the past couple of months I have been planning and working on improving this map, in many aspects. Some examples include fixing known issues, improving map flow, and slightly enlarging spaces. I’ve also been improving “DINER” and creating an unreleased map. This part of the trilogy of aether maps I plan on finishing, will hopefully feel like it’s plausible to be part of the Aether Story. The reworked version of “FREQUENCY” will further explore Cornilus Pernell’s work on the site in the 40s, as well as the role(s) of the site after Pernell’s departure.

In short, I can still work on the map and have been, but it will take considerable time until it's complete and released.

i love this map so much i just wish the bunkers were open to make the map a tiny bit bigger and maybe an easter egg that allows more perk spots other than the mannequin head easter egg but im not sure if you can go back and add more things to a custom zombies map

FUCK YEA DUDE! i've wanted to buy BO4 just for alpha omega since there is so much lore there, but now I feel like I'm good until a sale comes around 4 or 5 years down the line. because fuck activision and fuck that game. no single player? fucking they sell an everything but zombies version. smh. MAN I wish all of the voice acting was in here and maybe the HUD from daybreak and this would be a perfect map/remake!!

This is what Alpha Omega should've been, it's own base in the middle of the desert with a visible bunker. Not a nuketown rehash that was ripped from Blackout to save time and money. This is easily one of the better maps currently available on the workshop. Phenomenal work.
