The new mod manager will sometimes say a mod is active but it's not actually loaded in the data folder. You may have to unsubscribe and resubscribe.

Mods are awesome, but unique portraits does not appear anymore,instead they appear as the regular portraits

For those who don't know what the portraits look like, they are from the Nobunaga's Ambition series of games. Like in vanilla, the portraits are not unique and you may see multiple characters with the same portrait, but it is less likely.

no worry. I eventually found out that it's simply just this game have bug out so much with campaign models, no matter what adding new stuff on campaign map would always cause something

You are correct the otomo general is bugged so it uses a regular general model but that regular general model can only be the otomo daimyo. I have also fixed the invisible tercos bug. I forgot to add a model to their unique portrait.

Sorry I was away from modding for so long I forgot how this one worked. It's only related to my models mod because the models will 'somewhat' fit the portrait in this mod.

This mod is meant to be used with my models mod. If you use it with other texture mods it may conflict and make some the textures wonky.

Well, I encounterd another weird glitch. the mod would make any equipment on campaign map's characters being white out or lost mesh. However I don't think your mod suppose to cause this, but still removing the mod will fix it. Have any ideas what happen?

actually I found the reason, Otomo's general model in vanilla is using one of the normal list, which is what your set for both ages, so I simply swap it with bullgod's unique one, and works pretty good

Otomo has some glitches that requires tweaks in the models pack. I haven't modded in over a year so i'd have to spend a lot of time to relearn it. I can tell you this mod will work with my models mod with Otomo no problem, so maybe compare my models mod vs Bullgods.

is otomo's table entirely unique? I'm testing this with Bullgod's Daimyo pack, but every daimyo's model works with you portraits except otomo one, his model is reverse back to vanilla. I'm looking for conflicts in RPFM but kinda not understand how ui and portraits work, maybe you have some tips?

I run a tabletop role playing game set in feudal japan. Is there a way I can grab the people portraits for your mod? I'm already familiar with Benzal's work but it would be great for my game if I could get use the art assets from this mod.

Oh I see now. Thanks for clarifying. I noticed it first because I remember them having traits with your overhaul. Love your overhaul a lot btw but I just can't play without expanded anymore ;p

Oh I see what you're saying. This is not coming from any mod. The vanilla game starting wives and daughters don't start with a wife trait. If you play my overhaul mod then they will start with traits. I had to edit the startpos to give them traits because they start with none.You can test this out by unselecting all mods and take a look.I think I tried making a script on my traits mod to do it too but it was giving wives multiple traits. When I get time I can make a proper script for it.

I tried it with expanded off and I still have the same problem. Tried it with Chosokabe and Oda since they both have an available wife and can marry from a neighboring clan respectively. Do bear in mind though that emerging wives that are created by the game (ie: Wife offers) get their respective bonuses and traits. The problem seems to be with the historical wives already in the game at the start of the campaign

Its not exactly traits but rather the wives don't give any bonuses. As in there is no description at all to the wives. No Ambitious Wife, Cautious Wife...etc

I'll test it without expanded and see if the problem persists

This mod doesn't have an effect on traits. I don't play expanded mod so I'm not sure if that changes traits or not. You could try using my traits mod and see if that overrides whatever is causing your issue.

Oh I just figured it out. I saved the pack file when the selected game was Three Kingdoms and not Shogun 2, so that make sense. I just changed the setting for Shogun 2 and saved it and now I can see it. Silly me. ThaT's probably why I stop modding. Have no patience for silly things like this lolll

Movie allows it to override any mod but you're unable to upload movie .packs to steam.

mod and movie are both saved as .pack. In pack file manager, go to 'change pack type' and make sure it says Mod and not movie or anything else.

Hmm. The only thing I can think of is to make sure it's saved as a mod and not a movie in PFM. You also need a .jpg that matches the name of your mod but that wouldn't stop it from showing up in the mod manager.

I am so close to breaking my fucking pc right now. Can you remind me how to upload a new mod or at least have the mod manager detect it? I'm trying to work a my mod, from scratch. I created a new pack file, I've saved it in the data folder but whenever I launch the game and the mod manager come up, I don't see my new pack file. What have I forgot to do, can you tell me please. Moved ninja portraits and matching models(if using models mod) to only spawn while playing Tokugawa or Hattori. Moved monk portraits and matching models(if using models mod) to only spawn while playing Uesugi or Ikko Ikki. All other clans will now only get samurai style generals.

New starting generals should be possible via scripting. I've dumped probably 40 hours into that problem and failed every time. I'm trying to spawn them mid-game tho. I can script to 'create_force' which will spawn units w/o a general. 'create_force_with_general' and 'create_force_with_existing_general' should be a thing but I can't get it to work.

I started messing around with faction specific portraits. I changed the 10 ninja generals I have to hattori only and loaded my hattori campaign and all of my generals switched to one of those 10 so it'll be save game compatible. Going to have to make duplicates of the other 220 regular generals but should be able to make it so otomo doesn't spawn monk generals and only the ninja clans have ninja generals mixed in.
