Hey Seraaon I love these icons, they're used by a couple of mods I use and make so much sense.

I've just updated one of my old mods for a different look and feel, which now has a need for icons in place of wording so I'd like to include your icons in my mod if you don't mind.

I will ofc credit the icons to you in the mod description.

Seems the marriage_type_betrothal_ icons are not used any more.

Checking in to see if this mod will be compatible with the new Fate of Iberia DLC? :lunar2020thinkingtiger:

@Seraaron
Do we still need this?
Cheers!

I like it. Maybe also add a functionality to feature the "regular" symbol based on the faith's gender laws?

Before I read the introduction, I thought this was about same sex marriage. Haha good mod anyway!

Very nice! I really like the look of the gender symbol rings, it came out really well.

@Ferrous, i misunderstood what you were saying is all, i was merely confused my bad
Ferrous 10. sep. 2020 kl. 19:55
Yeah but the colors in the mod is the historically accurate ones as well, so i don't know what your issue is either mate.
Ex Ossibus Fumus 10. sep. 2020 kl. 19:49
no problems here, i was talking about the colors based on the other's comments.

@Nekro Philadelphia I'm not really sure what you're referring to. I think you might be getting confused based on some of the other comments below? This mod is just a graphical change, it won't affect your save file. The colours in this mod are red = patrilineal & blue = matrilineal, which are the same colours as the base game (they're just less saturated, so you may not have noticed). The base game also has a female icon symbol for the ring when you do a matrilineal marriage, I basically just added a male icon symbol for patrilineal marriage as the obvious counterpart. The mod really has very little to do with historical immersion, it's more for visual clarity. But the symbols ♀ and ♂ date at least as far back as ancient Greece... So yeah I'm really not sure what your issue is, sorry

if this was more historically immersive with the colors i'd download this no problem, the idea is cool, but i personally dont want modern themes in my save if i can help it
Ferrous 10. sep. 2020 kl. 14:44
note also that red = female and blue = male is a modern invention. Back than red is associated with male due to it being the color of blood. Paradox got it right the first time, no need to fix that.

@Queeg I thought about it. But the default game has red = patrilineal, so I thought I'd keep that for consistency and to avoid confusion if you are already used to the colours.
Queeg 10. sep. 2020 kl. 14:06
Nice idea.

One suggestion: Perhaps blue=patrilineal and red=matrilineal? That seems a bit more consistent with the gender icon colors.

Awesome.
