Do the recovery thing in rimsort?
LordBeef21 For 20 timer siden
@JoeOwnage make sure you refresh? Restart rimsort?
JoeOwnage 18. juli kl. 12:48
I unsubbed and resubbed multiple times and my rimsort still thinks this is 1.5 not sure whats going on
Wintermist 16. juli kl. 7:13
I think the problem was just Steam itself :/ the version thing simply fixed itself without any updates or anything from the mod itself. Steam did have some big crash or whatever last night, now atleast it all seems to be working as normal again.
NuanKi 15. juli kl. 18:48
revalidate your game files, that should fix it
Aleksey 15. juli kl. 16:08
I recently started using RimSort and used its updater to download mod updates, but I noticed that a couple of mods (including this one just recently) seem to be downgraded, exactly the way Nico described. Maybe the issue has to be with RimSort or the way it uses the Steam API.
Wintermist 15. juli kl. 12:43
Funny, I had that thing with versions using Complex Jobs, it said it was for 1.5 and below. Now that changed to THIS mod instead and Complex Job is back to 1.6. So bizarre.
Lucifer  [ophavsmand] 15. juli kl. 12:14
@Nico I uploaded the last version again. I'm not confident it will work, the issue seems pretty stubborn. Many people have this type of issue, especially with Rimworld mods, for some reason it seems to happen to this one more than others?

Anyway This steam discussion has some extra steps which might help you as well.
Nico 14. juli kl. 19:48
Could you update this again? For some reason despite me resubscribing RimSort still says this is a 1.5 and below only mod
Lucifer  [ophavsmand] 14. juli kl. 11:43
@FemboyNugget Actually it is updated, classic steam workshop issue, just unsubscribe and resubscribe to force a file update.
FemboyNugget 13. juli kl. 16:47
Your mod is compatible with 1.6 but you haven't updated the config so it shows as incompatible in the mod menu
AJ 6. juli kl. 0:55
@Lucifer Thanks! all fixed im going to add this to discussions for anyone else who needs an example.
Lucifer  [ophavsmand] 5. juli kl. 14:09
@AJ
You're not adding ([numOfOccupiedTiles] * 0.5).

Example in your 5x5, it's 25 tiles of course, if 5 are occupied with stuff, its 20*1.4=28 + 5*0.5=2.5 so 30.5. Free tiles * 1.4 + Occupied tiles * 0.5.
AJ 4. juli kl. 19:33
Hey mate i love the mod im trying to change the settings to match the following rooms, can you check my math please?

2x3 room Rather Tight - (2x3=6(-2 for stuff) 4x1.4=5.6)= 5.5
3x3 room Average-Sized - (3x3=9(-3 for stuff) 6x1.4=8.4)= 7.5
4x4 room SW Spacious - (4x4=16(-5 for stuff) 11x1.4=15.4)= 14.5
5x5 room Quite Spacious - (5x5=25(-5 for stuff) 20x1.4=28)= 27.5
6x6 room Very Spacious - (6x6=36(-5 for stuff) 31x1.4=43.4)= 42.5
7x7 room EX Spacious - (7x7=49(-5 for stuff) 44x1.4=61.6)= 61.5

@SSJKarma the beauty of this mod is that whatever you think is BS, you can edit to fit your own sensibilities. Not sure what you're complaining about since Lucifer has empowered you to chart your own room-sized destiny.

If you're just venting, then I agree the vanilla values are a bit much. However, IRL I have met with clients in their houses which had rooms that match the modded sizes (if we estimate 1 tile = 1 square meter or approx 10 sq ft). Yes, those 50,000+ sq ft (approx 5000 sq m) mansions were absurd to my middle-class instincts, but they def qualified for extremely lavish/spacious.

A 175 sq m room is approx the size of an entire US mid-20th century house. Not my own pref or within my budget, but they do exit IRL.
SSJKarma 22. juni kl. 16:08
i think the exponential growth on the numbers is bullshit to begin with.
scale is already all messed up in this game.
maximum size in vanilla for a maxed out room requires a 28x10 room which is madness.
even with th enumbers you are using , its still madness to want anything room wise bigger then 11x11. so i would make the +8 mood bonus attainable by rooms maximum 11x11 with stuff in them. right now even with this mod, its madness to even try to get maximum stat bonus.
cloudust 21. juni kl. 9:28
Thanks! I just created a small patch with gpt for it lol
Lucifer  [ophavsmand] 20. juni kl. 9:31
@cloudust not this mod, that error is regarding the room 'type' parameter being null. Room type is not changed at all by this mod.
cloudust 19. juni kl. 16:28
@Lucifer

I keep getting this error appearing - any clue if it's from your mod?

Error while Determining if X should need space: System.ArgumentNullException: Value Cannot Be Null. Parameter name: type
Farbott 16. juni kl. 0:42
gawdamn lightning fast
KingOfSpades 12. juni kl. 17:16
Unsubscribe, resubscribe worked, thanks!
Lucifer  [ophavsmand] 12. juni kl. 10:30
@Muad'dib Well it all depends on the implementation. But for that mod, it seems to define it's own numerical size requirement (e.g. archcount requires >100 area). For that this mod wouldn't do anything.

Other mods which add requirements tied to vanilla 'impressiveness' or uses the vanilla size tiers would in theory be affected.
Muad'dib 12. juni kl. 10:23
Since you're here and discussing room sizes. Do you know if this mod has the ability to affect room sizes demanded by VE Empire titles? Some of those rooms feel insanely huge.

If not, I understand.
Lucifer  [ophavsmand] 12. juni kl. 9:54
There is nothing in the description about 1.6 changes, but 1.6 doesn't do anything to make this obsolete. They reduced the mood debuff for bad bedrooms, which will make smaller bedrooms less of a problem. Still hasn't changed any of the size tolerances which is what this mod does.
Utopia 12. juni kl. 7:56
@MAc What am I supposed to read there's nothing to read for 1.6 lmao
Amroth 12. juni kl. 1:36
@Mac Read... what exactly? There's nothing referring to 1.6 changes
Mac 11. juni kl. 22:26
To any redditor who is about to come here and drool as they rush to type "ghhghghghgh new update makey mody obsolety hehehe", READ!!!

Also thanks for the lighting-fast update, mod is kino.
Lucifer  [ophavsmand] 11. juni kl. 20:16
@KingOfSpades Hi there, I can't replicate this issue. I'm not sure how this mod could be causing it. I've tested on both 1.5 and 1.6 with saving/loading and I loaded saves with older mod versions. One thing I would suggest is doing an unsubscribe resubscribe as something may have become corrupted from the update.
KingOfSpades 11. juni kl. 18:03
on save load i get a black screen confirmed removing this mod fixed the problem, I assume this is the same issue the other commenters have had since the last update

Anyone know if this applies to room size expectations from mods like Vanilla Expanded Empire and their art room and throne room? And if yes, does load order matter? Should this be after that mod?
Vela 19. maj kl. 9:36
This still works
Inerael 13. maj kl. 8:34
looks usefull ! Does someone know if it still working please ?
Lil Kitty Girl 21. apr. kl. 2:08
Rather tight value is off. The defaults are actually 6.5 not 7.5
Tardo The Ass-Monkey 23. mar. kl. 12:35
@SaMaHaJoGu Did you accidentally turn off the room display in the bottom right corner, where all the buttons are? I've done that before without noticing (I think there is a hotkey, but I don't know what it is) and then wondered why nothing was showing up.
SaMaHaJoGu 11. feb. kl. 18:25
I recently added this mod to lower the size needs for a room, but it appears to have broken the vanilla room sense? Like when I hover over a room, it doesn’t tell me whose room it is and what the impressiveness rating for the room is.
Captain Buzz 10. jan. kl. 13:02
Thnaks for making this! Love rimworld but room sizes are one thing that have never made sense to me, struggling to survive a savage world and friends dying all around you yet wanting a penthouse each :steammocking:
Dragon Fist Ent 15. dec. 2024 kl. 15:11
haha I think you have surpassed my original mod in numbers, at least in current downloads. though am glad someone else took it up.
El Poyo Locco 21. nov. 2024 kl. 3:20
@hysteria
I'm not sure if it's actually the case but I did some testing. changing the values in the mod options DOES work, but it isnt always shown when you check the stats of a room, Since I dont play in english, I suspect an error in traduction. when I tweak the value in extreme ways, pawns will show the "quite spacious" mood modifier even in a 3*3 room, despite the stat displayed being "rather tight".
Phrozehn 6. nov. 2024 kl. 22:00
Awesome mod. Any chance you could add the functionality from Variable Room Sizes? Owlchemist isn't updating it anymore and I think its a functionality that has been overlooked that makes a lot of sense to have :)
Lucifer  [ophavsmand] 4. nov. 2024 kl. 14:41
@hysteria123 I did reply to you before, I can't replicate the issue. The config menu works fine for me, and seems to work fine for others too. Try testing this mod on it's own to see if it's actually a conflict issue.
hysteria123 4. nov. 2024 kl. 5:39
If you like you can change the values in the config menu to whatever you prefer. ← Does not work.
Arx 31. okt. 2024 kl. 10:50
Thanks @Lucifer i will install in my current playthrough and observe. Time to say gud bye to unrealistically big rooms
Lucifer  [ophavsmand] 31. okt. 2024 kl. 10:44
@Arx Should be. Room size calculation is done independent of room type, unless the mod specifically changes it. Easy enough to test with cheats on.
