Leroy_D 18. aug. 2024 kl. 18:17
I have an issue with this mod that makes the soil cost of adding sand to water 640, the other recipes work at 10 as needed

I don't know if it has anything to do with it
But I also have the TIllable soil
Ogrestack
And ReGrowth mods that's the only things I might think might cause an issue.
Posh Octavia 1. juni 2024 kl. 0:48
quick warning, dont try to till soil, it tills it but then when you harvest a crop from it, it destroys the soil and reverts it to whatever was placed there before

Also great for creating caves if you want to leave overhead mountain there.

I can not begin to tell you how much I appreciate this mod.

Combined with Mountain Roof Removal mods, it's great for creating custom gardens in heavy mountains.
Cozy Fawn 11. maj 2024 kl. 8:56
How do I use that @Reisen?

No Steam upload?

Don't want to commit to maintaining this unless its officially unsupported by the author, but here's an updated 1.5 build of this and consistent map stone for the time being.

Source code changes included, if you want to build it yourself:

Absolutely can't wait for this mod to update. One of my all time favourites!

Thank you so much! This was so better than simply soil.

Hmm...comments below aren't too positive about not working in new update. Bummer.
Dayhjawk 12. apr. 2024 kl. 14:26
1.5 update waiting room.....
BanHandled 31. mar. 2024 kl. 15:48
@azzachaz
Probably because this mod isn't updated to 1.5 yet.
azzachaz 31. mar. 2024 kl. 5:42
Getting a bug with 1.5...

Can't dig soil at all it just comes up non highlighted.
BanHandled 15. mar. 2024 kl. 8:03
@Baine09
Known bug.
When soils that are replaced by other mods are removed, such as after reclaiming soil from the quarry mod, removing the soil leaves soil.
Baine09 15. mar. 2024 kl. 7:50
Probably a bug, when you harvest over tilted soil. the ground seems to return to what it originally was
Vartarhoz 23. feb. 2024 kl. 9:15
This gotta be most balanced soil mod out there.
saintbrutal 14. feb. 2024 kl. 12:55
my pawn just digs and i never get the soil? not an expert at reading logs but does it truly need mapconsistentmapstone mod? since thats what im getting spammed with

Exception in JobDriver tick for pawn Tail driver=JobDriver_Dig (toilIndex=1) driver.job=(SR_Dig (Job_771154) A=(158, 0, 176))

If I want to change the amount of soil mined, which parameter should I change?
Lunacity 5. jan. 2024 kl. 0:19
Absolutely LOVE the mod. But have you considered making it so soil relocation ignores world border? rich soil where you cant use it is very annoying, So it would be amazing if that was possible.
super earths best dumpster diver 2. jan. 2024 kl. 7:29
are you able to expand bodies of water with this mod?
BanHandled 27. nov. 2023 kl. 6:18
@RealLifeHobgoblin if you were saying that in response to TeH_Day, I get the feeling that they aren't using Nature's Pretty Sweet for the filth removal feature (alone). The other mod may perform better but the feature that they are talking about Permeable Terrain doesn't have - i.e. soil becoming 'wet soil', etc.
RealLifeHobgoblin 26. nov. 2023 kl. 21:14
Use Permeable Terrain from Owlchemist instead. It performs better
TeH_Dav 22. nov. 2023 kl. 22:37
Is there a way to make this compatible with Nature's Pretty Sweet (continued)? That mod makes it so rain and other weather effects can alter terrain, and that new terrain is not diggable despite being a normally-diggable terrain (Wet Sand can't be dug, but Sand can).

Or if there's already a patch for this somewhere, could someone let me know?
Svela 19. nov. 2023 kl. 21:37
Also, I haven't tested Solid Propane Compounds, but I believe the same issue would apply the way it does for Packed Snow since Solid Propane Compounds are also diggable.
Svela 19. nov. 2023 kl. 21:36
Alpha Biomes has a variety of new biomes it adds, some of which produce new terrain types. I don't know about most of the other ones except for the Propane Lakes biome since I always play on that biome. Within said Propane Lakes biome there is Packed Snow and Solid Propane Compounds, with Packed Snow having a small amount of fertility (5%). When I dig Packed Snow it turns the spot into stone floor but doesn't provide any resources. As far as I know Packed Snow can't form over time, so any snow I dig can't be moved to a new spot nor would I be able to replace the packed snow I removed. Would it be possible to make a patch for it so I could move the packed snow around? It would mostly be for aesthetic purposes (and maybe growing if I can figure out how to make use of that 5% fertility), so if you decide to put it at the bottom of your priority list then I understand.
pikakirby11 19. nov. 2023 kl. 16:49
Ok, so are you using fertilizer from dubs for me that ended up being the problem, and not using it allowed me to till soil just fine. I'm also pretty sure I was using the rich soil from soil relocation so if the problem for you wasn't with fertilizer try using rich soil instead of normal soil. I also recommend if all the other suggestions fail create a throwaway save that is set to manual saving so it doesn't save over your current one and turn on debug and just mess around to see what is causing the problem.
Afropenguinn 19. nov. 2023 kl. 16:40
Yeah, I am. So in more detail:

It starts as stony soil.
I dig up some soil, and put soil on the stony soil.
I till the stony soil using Vanilla Plants Expanded.
When the tilling a plant is harvested on tilled soil, it gets untilled, so you need to till it again.
But instead of the soil I placed on it, it's back to stony soil again. Thus I now need to put soil on it again.
pikakirby11 19. nov. 2023 kl. 16:20
@Afropenguinn I think I might have had the same problem as you are you using dubs bad hygiene
Afropenguinn 19. nov. 2023 kl. 16:17
So there is a problem with tilling soil in Vanilla Expanded. I relocated soil on top of my stony soil, then tilled it, and after tilling it went back to stony soil.
Posh Octavia 21. okt. 2023 kl. 19:11
man this is such a good mod, its so simple, doesnt add a ton of wierd stuff or item bloat, just lets you do something everyones wanted to do
pikakirby11 24. sep. 2023 kl. 12:31
I'm pretty sure the problem was actually with dubs fertilizer.
pikakirby11 24. sep. 2023 kl. 12:20
Could also have to do with dub bad hygiene fertilizer.
pikakirby11 24. sep. 2023 kl. 12:16
I'm having a problem where rich soil despawns after harvesting a crop. I think it might have to do with the plowing from vanilla expanded. I am also using more tillable soil so that could also effect it.
Disco 21. sep. 2023 kl. 9:42
How does this work with VFE Medieval's digging?
𝒯𝒽ℯ 𝒟ℯℯ𝓉𝓏 9. sep. 2023 kl. 13:02
could you add compatibility with fortifications industrial expanded always though the sandbags were a bit op this would totally balance them.
BanHandled 27. aug. 2023 kl. 10:37
I have discovered an interaction with Expanded Materials - Stones and Mortars.
Upon installing that mod (and I will be reporting this there) cloth is no longer an ingredient for sand bags, instead both sand from this mod and sand from that mod are. It also reports an error when sandbags are being generated (via siege or encounters such as bandit camps).
Miyuri 22. aug. 2023 kl. 6:59
Is it possible to force the pawns cut the plants upon the soil block before shoveling the soil? In my copy, the tree just disappeared, which is not so realistic.
CheeseWheelGuy 17. aug. 2023 kl. 11:34
much like in minecraft, a little bit of dirt can go a long way for aesthetics. (i can finally cover those stupid meteor impacts)
Treverlicious 2. aug. 2023 kl. 18:58
This is the first time I've ever commented on a mod and I have over 1K hours in RimWorld. This mod does 99% of what I want for a medieval runs. I couldn't find another mod that would allow me to fill in deep ocean tiles with medieval tech. Only thing that would like to see is the ability to craft shallow water and deep ocean for moats with the use of impassable chest deep water. Thank you!
