Usually I send people a collection of maps to subscribe to and use the l4d2 maps versions on my servers. This is the one time where I had to explicitly upload the workshop version to my server because despite the VPKs' checksum being identical, anyone who had the workshop downloaded version while the l4d2 maps version was on the server could not connect. This used to not be the case, and only started happening after the major update to l4d2 in august.
