Updated for 6.1 - no changes were needed, just forcing the Mod Manager to change from the warning icon to the green checkmark icon instead
Llamakazi  [author] 26 Mar @ 9:53pm
@madcow002000 I'm not 100% sure I understand what you mean; I just tested this one out myself after downloading the 6.1 update and it seems to be OK.

Can you give me more details? Which map did you try it out on? (Realm of Chaos or Immortal Empires, etc.)
madcow002000 26 Mar @ 1:23pm
I like this mod but the new 6.1 update doesn't let me run anything, even if it's showing green and updated. Can anyone confirm it works? Because it doesn't for me.
UPD8 25 Mar @ 3:13pm
As of 6.1 it's still working perfectly. Finally I don't have to squint and lean closer to my monitor to see the borders

Thank you!

Updated for 6.0 - includes the new version of the Immortal Empires map (new provinces)
Llamakazi  [author] 22 Nov, 2024 @ 11:33am
@Neil
Of course - happy to help! I had to find out about that (ages ago now) somehow too, lol
(mostly through "why is everyone saying update plz" during a major update?) :er_sweat:
Neil 22 Nov, 2024 @ 10:39am
Oh that's marvellous, I never realised it could "fake" the update without actually pushing a new version. As yes, after checking in the official mod manager, there is no yellow triangle, neat! Thank you for engaging on the topic!
Llamakazi  [author] 22 Nov, 2024 @ 10:05am
@Neil
Heya - affirm!

It doesn't trigger Change Notes in the Workshop since the hash/delta is the same, but there appears to be a flag somewhere that causes the Yellow Warning symbol to show up in CA's launcher for Mods instead of a Green Checkmark :WHII_Dominate:

Happens every time during a major patch as it forces modders to check that their mod still works (but then everyone says "update plz" in the comments, of course) It's been a while since I've checked though, does this mod have a Yellow Warning symbol or a Green Checkmark in the Mod Manager? (I only see a Blue Folder for uploads)
Neil 22 Nov, 2024 @ 6:20am
Hello, just so you know, you didnt actually push an update on November 4th. If you used RFPM you actually have to save the mod again, if you just push update it does nothing as the file hasn't changed.
Llamakazi  [author] 3 Nov, 2024 @ 8:43pm
Updated for 5.3 - no changes needed, just forcing the Mod Manager warning icon to go away
Llamakazi  [author] 27 Aug, 2024 @ 12:06am
Updated for 5.2 - no changes needed, just making the warning icon go away
@Tsu you can choose which order the mods are loaded; adding special characters just changes default placements of alphabetized files
Tsu 12 Jul, 2024 @ 2:38am
If it really needs to be loaded before the custom campaigns, shouldn't the file be renamed something like !!high_contrast_border_colors instead?
Llamakazi  [author] 26 Jun, 2024 @ 3:21pm
Updated for 5.1
Looks like no changes were needed, just making the warning icon go away
Llamakazi  [author] 30 Apr, 2024 @ 1:34pm
Updated for 5.0; there was a new version of Realm of Chaos campaign map, so very minor update, but everything seems fine
RatboyW 7 Apr, 2024 @ 1:22am
Oh sweet, thanks homie
Llamakazi  [author] 6 Apr, 2024 @ 11:41pm
Heya @Cyñical just updated the mod with support for The Old World too so you don't have to mess with it manually anymore (also updated the description)
RatboyW 6 Apr, 2024 @ 7:10pm
Post I made below to add this to The Old World still works, if anyone asks
Llamakazi  [author] 6 Apr, 2024 @ 2:45pm
Updated for 4.2 (no changes required - just checking to see if it works)
Playing a bit after CA's (much needed) course correction post "Shadows of Change" kerfluffle; here's hoping they stay on the right track
Lampros 5 Mar, 2024 @ 4:20am
Does this require an update?
VanrSha 30 Jan, 2024 @ 12:29pm
Do you think you could do something similar (or know of a mod that does this) to the reinforce rings around armies and settlement. The number of times me or my friend had to reload because an army was too close or not close enough to a settlement or another army and got messed up from enemy reinforcements or the lack of our own. That faint red circle is hard for me to see with my slight colorblindness and my friend is even worse.
RatboyW 5 Jan, 2024 @ 5:54am
If anyone wants this to work with the Old World map, simply open this mod with RPFM, open the campaign_maps dropdown, and extract "cr_combi_expanded_map_1" (or any of the others, doesn't matter) to anywhere on your PC.

Rename the "cr_combi_expanded_map_1" folder you extracted to "cr_oldworld_map_1," go back to RPFM and right click the campign_maps folder>add>add folder, and select the "cr_oldworld_map_1" you made. Voila!

(Still needs to be moved higher up in your load order, like the description says)

Excellent!:mbnyufufu:
Llamakazi  [author] 2 Oct, 2023 @ 7:05pm
@qlzlk yeah for sure - that mod is pretty neat and the change is pretty simple to do

Updated just a second ago (you will have to load this before the expanded map mod, but it works just fine)
qlzlk 2 Oct, 2023 @ 3:12pm
Can you make it compatible with IEE? I have already done it myself, but I really hope you can do it after the next update. Thank you~
lucky_one 🍀 29 Sep, 2023 @ 9:20am

Thanks !!
Llamakazi  [author] 28 Sep, 2023 @ 10:27pm
Updated for 4.0 - since there's a new version of the Immortal Empires map, had to adjust a few files to make it work, but we are back in business

Note: if you used this during 4.0 before I updated it just now, it wasn't working as intended! But it should now
Pimpin Pippin 14 Sep, 2023 @ 6:34am
Thank you for this mod!
Could you please consider making an extreme version of this mod, with the intensity/contrast & size of these borders increased to the maximum possible?
I tried every "Borders" mod on the workshop and i still struggle to see where the borders are, especially on the Desert or Arctic parts of the campaign map.
Alan 9 Sep, 2023 @ 12:49pm
Borders are still virtually invisible on bright landscapes like sand.
the wandering jew 5 Sep, 2023 @ 9:39am

BladeofSharpness 4 Sep, 2023 @ 11:49am
Still working in 4.0.

Updated for Chaos Dwarfs patch:
High Contrast Borders are now applied to the new versions of Realm of Chaos (wh3_main_chaos_map_3) and Immortal Empires (wh3_main_combi_map_2)
MR.F 20 Oct, 2022 @ 2:11am
Thanks!
Llamakazi  [author] 19 Oct, 2022 @ 6:20pm
Updated for 2.2
After a brief playtest to make sure nothing was broken from the 2.2 update, no actual changes were made; just making the Launcher warning symbol go away
MR.F 19 Oct, 2022 @ 7:23am
greetings, does this mod need to updated for patch 2.2 or no need ?
Bigfart 10 Oct, 2022 @ 6:50pm
@Llamakazi ahh i see my bad
Llamakazi  [author] 4 Sep, 2022 @ 11:46am
@Bigfart as stated above, some of the other mods that affect borders don't work on every campaign map, nor do they apply to the internal borders either.

That mod you linked doesn't affect the pre-2.0 RoC maps nor the prologue campaign, or the internal borders (when the borders on both sides are owned by the player, for example)
Bigfart 4 Sep, 2022 @ 10:23am
Neil 2 Sep, 2022 @ 6:30pm
This is my fave border mod after testing. Colours remain visible when zoomed out, great for planning moves, thank you Llamakazi!
Zentropy 2 Sep, 2022 @ 5:07pm
Only border colors mod that actually fixes the game for colorblind people, THANK YOU!
Yustarius 30 Aug, 2022 @ 7:58am
the best mode of this type around here, good job.
SY 30 Aug, 2022 @ 7:00am
good mod! , Is it possible to change the range line to a brighter like this mod?
BulbaSaruman 30 Aug, 2022 @ 4:34am
I was just cursing yesterday that I can barely see the borders in Araby. Thank you!
Lobuno 29 Aug, 2022 @ 2:55pm
Great work, sincerely, thanks!!!
