It took me an entire Sunday afternoon to do it, but I've managed to narrow down the two offending animations and replace them with the non-blood and gore variants, thus leaving all other animations in tact. This is the best we have until CA releases an official fix.

Please post in the thread here so that CA fixes it when they release the next and possibly final patch for ROME II: https://forums.totalwar.com/discussion/221528/bug-patch-20-blood-gore-dlc-overused-decapitation-and-leg-dismemberment-i-figured-out-a-fix/p1?new=1

I see that you updated this mod on 16th of february, do you, by any chance, have the old version, the one from 2015? I would really apprectiate if you uploaded that one. And yes, I've checked the Return to Glory, but still would be glad to have the old version of this exact mod. Thank you.

Good news! I have restored the spear and falx animations, but I found that the sword animations are missing from the game, I'm trying to restore them using old pach.

The best animation mod for this game since I have tried the rest of the animation mods. Petros animation mod for attila is also the best. Too bad this mod doesnt work for rise of the Spartacus mod :(. Petro ur a genius. Thanks for this epic mod.

yes. with smaller groups the fights are too long also. i have noticed it. right

i know right but its getting too boring like the vanilla battles takes 5 or 6 mins but with this mod its gonna something be like 25 or 28 mins thats a lot of time for small group of spearman who fights :/

Hey petro spear units fights are takes too long please reduce that.
