The grating is the key to the puzzle. Yes it's hard to see but its set up as a chain reaction and every cell has portal faces.

I know that it's a bit hard to see, but i dont know what else to use besides grating. Any ideas?

I couldn't see through all the grating, I couldn't find the sphere! I finished it anyways, and it was a good puzzle.

Visual obstructions EVERYWHERE! I agree with Polaris! This isn't puzzling. This is just crippling guesswork!
