The minmap picture was created by taking roughly 25-50 separate photos close up (top down view) and then piecing them all back together into one picture to create the whole minimap. This was the only way I was able to get the minmap to look like it still rendered shadows. Very time consuming, but worth it in the end I think.

@Starbuck hey bro not sure if you have answered this before but how do you get the shadows to render so farout on your screenshots and minimaps cheers

Funny how this map made it to the Top Rated Maps of all time in CoH2.
Just as a fun trivia fact (since I'm revisiting the making of this map in my head right now), the first version of this map was released on 6th June of 2009!

@avrore, I've been playing this max exstensively and still playing it. Buildings got turn into ashes as they normally do in any other game here. What building you can't destroy?

This map is so close to being perfect, but it's let down by putting the sole fuel point in the center. basically, it's game over once you've held the center for a few minutes. Would be way better if each starting island had a fuel point, so the team without the center can still put up a fight.

if you play this map you will forget how to play good. like other said: too many choke points makes it boring and too easy to win.

One of the best map ever created. Played Eastern Front a lot was really missing early Leningrad before the big change.

@Starbuck, Great Map. Lots of choke points and detail. I did notice that reinforcements for Player 1 could walk through the wall on the north side (behind the base build area). I'm not sure if this is by design, but the wall along the back of the base area (for P1) is essentially ignored. Other than that there were no noticeable problems with the map. Good job. Thanks for your effort to create this for the Community.

Me too EF was really the inspiration for the The Russian adventure for CoH....So its great to see this old favorite of mine re-apear here!.I still have the original on my CoH1....Never get tired of this.

Holy crap...I always loved this map in the EF mod. Imagine my pleasant surprise to see it here! Just one nitpicky thing: can you properly name it Leningrad instead of just Lenin? :D

It's a great map, but I have had issues with tanks and AT guns getting stuck behind the bases after you call them on the top side of the map when playing as the Americans. Perhaps move the starting locations on the the top side of the map down a little bit to give them room.
