I played a very similar map just a couple of months ago. Can't remember who made it and how it's called. Is it based on some other map made by you or some other author?

@voidify Sorry you had a bad experience. Don't forget you can use F6 to quicksave, and F7 to quickload, thus creating your own checkpoints whenever you like

Specifically I keep dying while I'm trying to step off the tunnel into the pedestal button zone to reset the cube, after going through the funnel from the ceiling of the infinite fall-- I keep walking out of the funnel too late, and then falling into the goo and dying and because the in-game editor has no checkpoint function the puzzle starts again from the START. There should be a checkpoint either after putting the cube on the funnel button or after returning to the start area because this is ruining my motivation to do the puzzle

Puzzle was fun once I figured out how to do it, but there's way too many opportunities to die from just timing a button press wrong, so that's mildly infuriating. Someone should Hammer up this map with checkpoints to fix this.

Genius! Solved it entirely on my own and found a sort-of exploit. If you go where the cube spawns and stand at the very corner next to the glass, you can just barely shoot the panel to the right of the tractor beam, thus giving you easy access to the gel and cube spawn.

@Demon Arisen It is more so just personal preference. I felt that the part involving the tall chamber in the starting area was a bit ambiguous. However, that is what makes your puzzles so good. They are epic, VERY well designed, and I always go back to your videos for advice. That is how I came up with my newst test chamber, Beam Me Up (shameless plugs will always remain shameless). This puzzle was really satisfying to solve, just that one part was really confusing for me. But just all around fantastic job!!! Keep it up!

Brilliant puzzle and on a par with your ‘Sniper’ map. I tried to complete this yesterday, but eventually gave up. Came back to it early this morning and ‘saw the light’: I knew that room at the start had to be there for a reason, but couldn’t work it out until I got that light bulb moment. Thank you.

Enjoyed solving this map and your others. Used all of the elements, so pretty sure that I did the intended solution. I overthunk the last step, getting the cube and me in the exit room area, and felt really foolish when I realized what to do.

Amazing! At first when I reached the end of the map with the cube in the exit and stat room I didn't have a way to get up. I was completely fooled and it took me a while to realize you had to use the blue get so I went through and did some of the map over. And that other video you were talking about will be really exciting to watch!

I ended up with a portal on the exit area side and the other portal at the gel area side, after I recall the cube again (and deactivating the funnel too), then on the exit side just changed my portal to get the 'new' cube.

@WGS - yeah, it's totally possible if you shoot one portal into the gel room from the button area, put the cube on the button, and go in. It's not a big deal though, you have to be intentionally trying to get stuck
