I should've elaborated that earlier.
Thought about about it like being a shout out for help from the first pod but the guys guarding the Relay would not abandon their post, right? ;)
Fixed it. It was the civilians.
But this is fun, just the same.
I am playing a high-difficulty modded XCOM game, and, as such, shooting the relay before engaging is almost always a must do. Same with having an 'undetected' at the relay.
My only problem with that tatic is that it was almost like cheating; I had no time pressure to remove it. Now? I have to decide between the relay and the enemies, every single turn untill one is fully down.
So, thank you.
Also, nice mod, thanks for making this. Hadn't noticed this being a thing, but good to know it won't happen with this mod.
I've also seen this happen without a phantom, where the guards are just badly positioned so X-Com never officially sees them.
