You can skip the laser bit by flinging onto the moving platform. Not sure if this was possible in Portal (will have to check).

You can beat this without using laser if you fling yourself from raised platforms. Still a good rendition of original map.

The "Put cube on one button and shoot one through the door while standing on other button" solution didn't work :/
