Is the fake out with the moving platform intentional? I was ready to hate the level, thinking it was going to be a timing puzzle, rushing back before the gel in the funnel runs out, but then I chekhov's gun'd the ceiling panel and realised that the actual solution is pretty cool!

good level, though it's possible to solve even without panel for pushing the cube with funnel, enough gel that falls from what left of"statis" can knock cube from the button , thx

The most creative map ive seen

As always Mevious puzzles are simple but not obvious. Requires a bit of out-out-of-the-box thinking. Hint: Figure out how to get the cube to bounce on top of one of the buttons using the funnel while the paint has filled the funnel.

Very, very nice.

I knew that surface above the button was there for a reason. And I knew if it was acted upon by a funnel that it switched there would be a known effect. BUT I couldn't put the 2 together in my mind.

I watched video up to that point, then DUH! Why didn't I see that?

Nice chamber, especially with that fair warning.

Funny, but weird.....

I was so stuck until I saw the title and then remember most mevious levels requires knowledge of some new game mechanic I never saw before! Fun
eons Luna 11. jan. 2022 kl. 9:49
The moment I saw the title of this level, I knew the solution involved holding something in stasis . But what? Played around with the elements in the chamber a bit, and then discovered the answer.

I have to say it's very clever of you to make use of the funnel, the cube, and the cube-activated button to get a funnel to hold the Propulsion Gel in place without it going anywhere. The moment I saw how the first three elements interacted to potentially do that, I only needed to figure out how to get the Propulsion Gel into the funnel (hint: look up) and how to get the funnel to move the Propulsion Gel in the correct direction to where I need it to go (hint: be quick with portal-ing the funnel with the cube). Once all that was sorted out, the remaining problem was relatively minor: getting enough Propulsion Gel in the required area for me to be confident that it will get me to the exit. Two tries, and that was sorted.

Calwin 11. sep. 2019 kl. 9:15
Amazing concept, first I didn't see it when I did the solution unfolded!

Odd that a Mevious puzzle has unneeded elements. The speed track

Unusual level indeed!

Nice one and good "gimmicky trick" :)

Very interesting chamber. For me it was much easier than other Mevious's chambers.

Marvelous as always. I think I'd pay extra for your puzzles!
villacco 13. sep. 2016 kl. 4:49
Good idea, relatively easy
The name of the puzzle helped me to come to a fast solution
zigzagtenniscoe 30. aug. 2016 kl. 12:18
Good job Mevious, you had me beat this time. There would have been no way I'd have figured that out on my own without looking at comments. Very neat trick, very neat concept, I have never ever seen it before. Wonderful, continue the amazing work! :)
NiMH 28. juni 2016 kl. 13:37
I wasen't aware of this trick, intresting, thanks for the mindfuck ^^
Petutski 15. apr. 2016 kl. 16:19
Played this again after 2 years. Still great! Thanks!
SpielSatzFail 13. feb. 2016 kl. 16:26
Awesome! Another great idea and a real Mevious ;-)
Fortunately the panel above the cube button was marked, not sure if I would have found the solution without it. Should have remembered the name of the chamber ;-)
76561198107563569 5. dec. 2015 kl. 21:51
I solved it in a way that was definitely not intended. :)
I shot two portals directly above each other and got gel between them so at least parts of it would fall "endlessly". That way had all time in the world to get to whereever i wanted, the rest is obvious.
Pamsy 2. dec. 2015 kl. 23:28
Wild! Great the way after you see the idea, you need one more step. Hint 1: look at the ceiling above one of the buttons! Hint 2: use the funnel to push the cube off the button before transporting gel.
lfairban 2. nov. 2015 kl. 18:15
Nice one. It wasn't until I read the comments that I realized I did it the hard way. I ran to the stairs, knocked the cube off, then paced an output portal right above the funnel sorce. Thanks anyway TS.

Nice one, the way to think outside the box

When i was noob, in the beginning of the years, i was really stuck in this one...but now, i think i'm better cause i success the test with no problem this time :) Great job !

Cool use of stasis...
TS_Mind_Swept 30. juli 2014 kl. 22:09
That's not the first time I've seen that idea done, and congrats on giving it away with the one portal surface on the ceeling RIGHT above that button, bravo. 7/10 :p2turret:
-piriquitoz- 4. juli 2014 kl. 11:33
Well, that was unusual XD

Clues in the name. Once you figure how that works. ink up and get on the lift
Databot1 16. feb. 2014 kl. 19:05
Just wow
tu7650x 11. feb. 2014 kl. 21:47
Man this is the best puzzle so far. It kicked my butt for a while but I knew the name of the map had to be a clue, then eureka. Thanks Mevious, once again you proved you're the best.
Kbeam 1. feb. 2014 kl. 11:22
I am not sure if I solved it or used a bug
I first got the gel into the spiral and then opened the portal on the top above the button that reverses the spiral. That makes the spiral static since it loops between the two states as the cube bounces on the button.
Well, I guess the name of the chamber means it's not a bug, but intended solution :)
LoneWolf2056 19. jan. 2014 kl. 13:38
Interesting, its like some of the weird stuff I would think off xD

That feeling you get when you find out that one simple trick that was there all along is beyond words.

Pheraphs Mevious's easiest but very funny!

I solved this without the gimicky trick. Stand on the button that changes the funnel direction. Use the orange funnel to suck up a load of gel. Just before the moving platform reaches the observation window, move the portal to the square just over the funnel generator and run to the top of the stairs. Before boarding the platform, move the portal up one square. The load of gel that previously came out now drops again into the beam. While you ride the platform, it again comes out of the upper portal. At the other side, move the portal to the wall facing the exit. Again, the gel drops back into the beam and comes out of the new portal to where you need it.
