All the complaints are right, this map needs better lightning. After i finished the puzzle and had to "climb" to the exit using portals i had to look up a walkthrough because I literally couldn't see the last white wall and couldn't tell if I might be missing smth and it was some kind of (wacky) puzzle.
So while I could do all the actual puzzles on my own, the darkness did defeat me lol.
But once I realized you could just stand in the high portal, push the timer button, shoot the other portal outside the fizzer, then go through it, it was pretty easy. The one thing I don't understand is: what was the point of items 1 & 2? The cube is not needed. Of course, if it was just a red herring then fair enough ;)
All that said, I really liked this
But as I said several times: It wasn't well designed in this one point I admit ^^
here my gameplay series: https://youtu.be/2KV8oji1A5E
Very well put together chamber. The only thing I can really compain about is the lack of horisontal space in the corner where you basically have to start off all your jumping. I hit the fizzler so many times just when I tried to place portals on the ground and when I left the upper portal the velocity caused me to hit the fizzler. This might be intentional to make it even harder, but for me it just felt like I was walking on egg-shells. This was made twice as annoying when I had already struggled to find the solution. Like another person mentioned, it felt more like something out of an action game, not a puzzle game. Otherwise, very good map.
In my newer mappack (Pneumatic Diversity Tests) I use speech. In general it's possible, but you need to take the original ones which makes it not very versatile :P
This one is annoying because you need agilty more than reflection.
-1 for grindy map
I'm tired of flinging in 3sec in that old chamber.
It felt like action game rather than puzzle.
Absolutely amazing stuff. One of the most creative chambers/collection of chambers I've ever played. A lot of thought, hard work and dedication obviously went into these.
Seriously well done!
But serrrriously the damn fizzlers, it was almost impossible to fly over them without removing your portal. You had to turn around and then shoot randomly to hit it before the fizzler come back again. And then do that over and over and over again, just for the taunting message "what took you so long"
Requires standing in a portal to shoot another portal. The jump over the timed fizzler is impossible, even crouched, but you can shoot your way out, The cube and button seemed pointless; you could skip straight to steps three and four, and never use them.
