It's all been said in 21 screens of comments...but let me add my "fun to play". Really like the aspect of exploring. A nice break from compact difficult logic puzzles.

I managed to drop the ball behind the railing, where I could not get it, and it wouldn't fizzle, (even with stacking cubes up, I wasn't allowed to jump over.) So I couldn't finish the map.

Yeah, I exported the final bit from the editor, but fixed it up in Hammer so it wasn't a complete mess. The rest of it was done from scratch though. I realise there was a lot of walking and not much puzzling, but it was my first Portal map. Thanks for playing it though.

I found it kind of a waste of time playing. The map looks like you exported from the in-game editor and used Hammer haphazardly. The map had too much walking.

First of all I'll admit I'm not a big fan of these "quest maps" as I like to call them unless they are really well done. Yours wasnt the greatest quest style map I've played but it was pretty good. I could see that you put a lot of effort into trying to make it not look bland. I liked how you tied the different room themes together. I'm also not a big fan of the "where the hell do I portal now" factor in the map. This map has a bunch of those in it. I'd make where to portal a little more obvious. Maybe shine a light or something. All in all though, good effot, thumbs up!

There's a button back in the turret room which you have to clear. I know it's not entirely obvious and could've done with some hints, but I thought the sign by the side of the door would be enough.

Nice visuals and the fan is a cool addition. It's not always obvious where to go though. I got punished to many times when I fell down to the toxic slime that I almost gave up. No, that's not actually true. I did give up. Why doesn't the door open in the fan room? I'm confused about where to go.

Very enjoyable and beautiful. Maybe "Uglee" got stuck in the exploration part with the pipes; I did for a while, but then I found the way out. I would say that the ending is weak, rather than "sucks"; i.e. the test chamber is not very difficult, either to figure out or to execute. Nice touch with the edgeless safety cube, though. By the way, until I realized how you probably intended the turrets to be defeated, I was able to just run in, pick one up, run out and throw it down by timing each run to when they wobbled their lasers and went into hibernate mode.

Even though I can see all the work done, iIt's a thumbs down for me. i killed all your turrts, i did everything but still, it's cryptic as fuck and gives no reward, just a "Well, fuck, finally". Sorry. BTW, I found this via quick play -> top.

I really like the creapy atmosphere in the begining of the map and the randomness. It's a really nice touch!

P.s Your map is on the 8th page of best maps of all time, it's not that hard to find it.

Excellent map! Did you use any custom soundscapes or were they all just recycled from Valve's maps? Either way, congratulations for using a variety of soundscapes, something many Hammer mapmakers overlook.

Beautifully atmospheric map. A little tricky to know where you're meant to go at one or two points, but there's usually enough clues and indications to get you back on track after a moment or two.
