"An error occured while downloading this map!"
Mevious and Zogor experienced this before. The problem relates to some maps released in 2012. Reuploading fixed the issue.

Played the remake of this map from the person below me. Exact same level in fact just reuploaded since the original dont work anymore. Very nice concept, think I gave up a little to early lol had to look at your solution spoiler. First time I tried that it didn't work but I had to jump into the floor portal for the right height . Like how you actually revisited this concept at the end of No Elements 19 (I think thats the number?) since you need to do a similar move to not fling yourself too far and miss the exit platform in that map. I really enjoyed that one as well. Thanks for this, I see where it came from :)

As this chamber was broken too, I recreated it here: http://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=705585454

You should republish this map to make it playable. It worked with Mevious' maps.

I am not one for Portal-esque 1 logic but this one is pretty good with a fancy fling maneuver where you have to place portals as you are flying around .

As a side note, with BEEMOD2 .2.4 alpha, you can apply the Portal 1 theme to this map.

Try my SP map?

Yes, I had in the description at one point that I based the fling off of a (potentially unintended?) solution in Portal Pro
Akiva 11 Aug, 2013 @ 9:48pm
@Malfaction This was before No Elements, but it was after Portal Pro (which is a Portal 1 mappack by Mevious, made way before PeTI), and I assume Azorae got the idea from there.
Malfaction 27 Jul, 2013 @ 2:34pm
Similar solution to a Mevious No Elements map I think.
SkepticalDragon 8 Jun, 2013 @ 7:41pm
I thought about what I was doing backwards and it occured to me.
Almisuifre 30 Mar, 2013 @ 8:30am
Very simple idea, very well used ;)
Diego 27 Mar, 2013 @ 5:13pm
Nice map.
bobdugan_2000 23 Feb, 2013 @ 1:49pm
I saw both videos and the solutions are about the same. Problem is when I try I'm coming up just a bit short of the island.
zazaza 14 Jan, 2013 @ 1:05pm
Damn, I had to give up and read your solution.. :( Very nice, I like it!
Joeliam 15 Dec, 2012 @ 7:34am
That is amazing. Good work.

My solution: http://youtu.be/I3tCLBna3bo

I remebered the original puzzle from Portal Pro, so I was done with that chamber in no time.
KennKong 4 Dec, 2012 @ 10:44pm
That's better! Fun with momentum without the bouncy gel.
feroid 17 Nov, 2012 @ 8:35am
very nice concept.... may be I will steal it.. and make litle advanced camber like this :)
madvtdm 13 Nov, 2012 @ 6:52am
It took me many tries to get the timing and positionning right but I finally got it... Nice!
esmo 12 Nov, 2012 @ 8:22am
cool, I did it as intended but added a perpetual bounce at the end to give myself time to place the last portal. cheers
Sveldte 10 Nov, 2012 @ 9:01pm
This was actually quite clever. Very nice manipulation of momentum, definitely one of those puzzles which are harder than they look.
Azorae  [author] 2 Nov, 2012 @ 4:59pm
Yeah, this one's definitely vastly different from the rest. I made it to demonstrate this method of manipulating momentum rather than to be a cerebral puzzle, so I doubt most people who follow my puzzles would enjoy it. Just a proof of concept, basically.
LPChip 2 Nov, 2012 @ 3:59pm
Thanks for the solution. I really don't like this kind of action. Feels really unnatural to me. I'd never be able to come up with something like this. I like your other maps, so I suppose there's always one map that's not to my liking...
Azorae  [author] 1 Nov, 2012 @ 3:31pm
Solution spoiler: Place one portal on the "launch panel" and another on the floor of the small room. Fall through and replace the exit portal on the ground to fling up towards the small room. Again, replace the exit portal, this time on the ceiling of the small room. You should shoot up through the ceiling and come out of the floor outside of the room with the right amount of height to make the fling.
LPChip 1 Nov, 2012 @ 1:48pm
I'm unable to solve this, and the video is not working either. I seem to get just too little extra speed. Is there a technique to slow you down somehow that I'm missing?

What I do: I shoot a portal on the ceiling of the small room, then go outside, shoot a portal on the floor, fall through, and shoot another portal at the floor. I let myself bounce against the ceiling to reduce height, then when I shoot my portal at the tom, I just go too fast to miss the ledge by a hair. What am I doing wrong?
lichgod 30 Oct, 2012 @ 12:03pm
Very good map, thanks.
tuyuqas 22 Oct, 2012 @ 10:32am
Nice one!
Actually, this was the first of your chambers that I could solve without looking at the walkthrough vid :). I tried Extension and Gap Bounce previously, but my ordinary intellect was inferior to your genuis. Probably should have tried this one at first. :D
Anyways, again fantastic job and a splendid creation! Thank you!
The Sojourner 21 Oct, 2012 @ 8:17pm
@Mothalius, I found one of the ways to solve this test. What's the other one?
Calmly Frenetic 21 Oct, 2012 @ 1:16am
Reminds me of a secret chamber in Mevious' Portal Pro.
Always fun to do these flings.
Moth 2 Oct, 2012 @ 10:00am
There's actually 2 different ways to solve this using momentum but great chamber.
Akiva 27 Sep, 2012 @ 5:59pm
I like how you put the target there (and the dotted line in the schematics). Hiding a faith plate like that! And the level was good too.
Akiva 27 Sep, 2012 @ 5:57pm
Good!
Geneosis 21 Jun, 2012 @ 8:51am
I usually hate this kind of puzzles X) Mainly because you need multiple quick portal placements... And I'm really bad for that ^^"

It tooks me sooooo many time, but I got this one :p
