Of all the mods that allow me to toggle Night Eye, this one, I feel, is the best option, second only to Gopher's "Predator Vision," found over on The Nexus. Those other mods felt a bit too buggy and clunky, and with too many dirty edits compared to this one.

Thanks for this mod. The timed verison that Skyrim comes with didn't make sense from a role-playing perspective, and it was annoying to have to keep activating it every two minutes.

Yea, nevermind. One of my characters was defective.
Kalona The Drunk Native 15 nov 2015 om 21:07
This doesn't usually happen. It's happened a couple of other times but not repeatedly. It only seem's to happen with one character so far though. The chatacter is pretty well modded. It may have been something i added recently. I'v been using these 2 mods for several months & haven't had this specific issue.

@KALONA THE RAVENANT I would suggest swapping the load order position of the night eye mods to see if it is being caused by a conflict -- if that doesn't work (specifically, if the blur remains after swapping), they may simply be incompatible

Just had a glitch issue. When i turned the night eye on, it turned right back off & was ongoing about 6-8 times before finally working. I know my space bar wasn't stuck, otherwise, it would have reacted the same way with other power moves. It only seemed to happen outside for some reason. I only have one mod that effect's night eye, and it's for blur removal. It didn't happen with the Furyan Race mod though.

@TheDeadDude: It may not work if you have another mod that modifies night eye loaded after -- otherwise, yes, it works
TheDeadDude 30 apr 2015 om 6:18
Does this mod still work?
Lucky!  [auteur] 7 apr 2015 om 14:16
@MorevalaR: This mod is not on the Nexus because similar mods are already there. Do a search for 'night eye' and take your pick.
MorevalaR 7 apr 2015 om 3:03
Is this mod available on Nexus?
Lucky!  [auteur] 21 mrt 2015 om 19:02
@kellysimon: It will stay on until you use the power again or some in-game event happens to dispel it (as far as I know, nothing in the default game)

this may sound like a VERY, VERY stupid question, but does this mod make it so that you can toggle the night eye (for khajiit) on and off, and if its toggled on, will it stay on permanently (until i toggle it off)?
AbadopolGrimspree 12 feb 2015 om 14:33
Makes more sense to have in game.
Lucky!  [auteur] 26 nov 2014 om 14:47
@☢☢: Yes. Make sure this mod is loading after any other mods that modify night eye (SkyRe, Resplendent Races, etc)
☢☢ 26 nov 2014 om 10:08
Doesn't work(playing on kadjit), I have 100 mods installed, is there any incompatibles?
XerxesThePirate 25 nov 2014 om 21:43
@Nostre The Giant : There is one called Wolf senses, but it only applies to werewolves and there is no way to turn it off while in wolf form, it does adapt dependent on the amount of light around so it's pretty cool
Lucky!  [auteur] 12 sep 2014 om 14:49
@Nostre The Giant: I think I've seen one on the Skyrim Nexus website. Google can probably help you out there.
Nostre The Giant 12 sep 2014 om 13:50
do you know of any adaptive night eye mods on steam?
Bob The Penist 22 jul 2014 om 8:53
ok thanks
Lucky!  [auteur] 21 jul 2014 om 19:41
uCry: Not unless you have a mod that lets you use choose powers to in werewolf form. This mod doesn't add that capability, just makes night eye a toggled ability.
Bob The Penist 21 jul 2014 om 10:55
so when im a werewolf i press F (i changed controls) i only shout to scare enemies i cant turn off nighteye?
Drall 20 jul 2014 om 15:51
Perfect, i'm looking for realistic immersion mods and this one will do just fine then.
Thanks for making this +Sub +Like +Fav :riften::solitude:
<3 Khajiit :P
Lucky!  [auteur] 20 jul 2014 om 15:45
DrallumGC: That's right. This mod makes it a permanent effect instead of a temporary one.
Drall 20 jul 2014 om 13:54
Ok, so how i understand this - now the night eye power doesnt automatically deactivate.
Instead it lasts forever and can only be deactivated manually? (pressing >Z< again?)
Lucky!  [auteur] 20 jul 2014 om 13:37
uCry: You must first be a race that has the Night Eye lesser power (Khajiit, Vampire, anything mod-added that has Night Eye), select it, and then press the Shout button (Z by default I believe)
Bob The Penist 20 jul 2014 om 12:32
how do i toggle what button ?
the vault 15 jul 2014 om 16:47

k... didn't realize i need steam version for this...
Lucky!  [auteur] 23 mei 2014 om 17:40
Ido: Subscribe IS the download button!
3388 23 mei 2014 om 0:57
Umm sry I'm a newb here but... I click Subscribe, now where the heck is the download button??
Lucky!  [auteur] 21 mrt 2014 om 14:43
I... don't know! I can't remember the Creation Kit that much. Perhaps the vampire code may be able to help.
Onichu 21 mrt 2014 om 13:57
Gotcha. Now how the heck would I be able to add abilities to a werewolf in human form? I can only find the WerewolfBeast race in the Creation Kit!
Lucky!  [auteur] 21 mrt 2014 om 12:21
roberto: I don't believe werewolves have night eye accessible by default -- a mod would give you access to it. Nonetheless, since it's the same night eye used by Khajiit/vampires, it'll work as long as you have a mod that gives night eye to werewolves.
Onichu 20 mrt 2014 om 17:44
Do werewolf characters have to be in beast form in order to use their Night Eye?
Lucky!  [auteur] 6 mrt 2014 om 6:07
superfly541: It works on any race has night eye (including custom ones if they use the vanilla night eye) -- it doesn't add it to any of the others if they don't have it
Mike Honcho 5 mrt 2014 om 19:27
do you have to be a vampire, khajit, or werewolf for this to work? or will it simply work for all races?
SeenZ 3 mrt 2014 om 14:48
Simple and makes the game more comfortable.
Mohekee 5 jan 2014 om 21:50
I wear my sunglasses at night!!
kcaen 19 sep 2013 om 1:49
This works perfectly and, with the mod for Night Eye for all the races, it is exactly what is needed. Great mod.
Maebure 8 aug 2013 om 19:33
Exactly what I was looking for.

On a side note: There is an adaptive night-eye mod as well. It isn't a complete toggle though so possibly a mix of these two could be nice. A toggle power that automatically activates in low lighting.

Not as a replacement for this mod, as some I'm sure would prefer it this way, but maybe as an alternate mod.
Sapphire Gem 31 jul 2013 om 20:04
can't see still even as a vampire. i have the mod(s) ultra skyrim lighting overhaul v3
Benyed 28 jun 2013 om 8:01
good idea, simple mod.
Lucky!  [auteur] 18 jun 2013 om 9:14
@Darth Crunchus: I'd do that if I had any idea how to :(
ChozoSR388 18 jun 2013 om 8:31
Something else that might be useful, ESPECIALLY for the Khajiit, might be, say, like a permanently active, adaptive Night Eye, considering that cats automatically have the ability to see at night...something that say, adjusts the spell intensity based on the surrounding ambient light, and, when entering a dark dungeon from a daytime exterior might take several seconds for thplayer's eyes to "adjust"? I don't even know if this is possible, but, again, it's just an idea I thought I'd ping off of you.
paulwoodland 29 mei 2013 om 5:33
love it
Lucky!  [auteur] 19 mei 2013 om 13:25
@SHARKuk: That's the main reason I made this. I played and had to CONSTANTLY turn my night eye back on in the middle of a fight...
DAZUK74 19 mei 2013 om 8:20
Thank you so much for this.. Running this with the RCRN darker nights and dungeons, No longer do I need to engage nighteye mid battle.
Kissamies 6 mei 2013 om 13:10
It has always bothered me as a Khajiit player in the ES series that I have to keep recasting the Night Eye, which should clearly be a toggleable innate ability. Thank you for this mod.
