Now we just need more natured centered beliefs.
Dr.Clever 20 kwietnia 2018 o 14:04
I would rather they include Satanism
Bing Chillin' 8 września 2017 o 17:28
Does it include metal, pentagons, and sacrificing chav's to Satan?

Thank you for making this! I can make my dreams of a Pagan empire true now!
SamBC  [autor] 21 czerwca 2015 o 10:11
It will work in BNW - but not if you just have BNW and not G&K. That's just how they made the dependencies - I can't say "depends on religion".
Kerovanka 21 czerwca 2015 o 9:16
"I see no reason it wouldn't, but because of how dependencies work, you have to have G&K to persuade it to run, whether or not you have BNW."-dont work in BNW?????it is bad!can yuo make to BNW?????PLEASE!
Adrastos 13 listopada 2014 o 1:15
@Fritz Schmit I agree, Hellenism/Hellenismos should be included. If you have BNW, you could get the Historical Religions add-on that pretty much as every world religion, including most forms of Paganism.
Unregistered User 11 listopada 2014 o 13:01
Oh,very well.
SamBC  [autor] 11 listopada 2014 o 12:44
No reason someone couldn't. I'm not about to, though.
Unregistered User 11 listopada 2014 o 12:34
Well, do you believe it's possible to add Hellenism?
SamBC  [autor] 11 listopada 2014 o 10:59
Well, I don't and didn't have unlimited time, so I added the forms of modern paganism that I personally knew people who identified with.
Swedra 11 listopada 2014 o 10:57
@Hania: Probably because the usa.
Unregistered User 22 października 2014 o 9:31
Why not add Hellenic Paganism?
Adrastos 11 lipca 2014 o 20:34
Glad this exists, because ancient and modern Paganism should have been in Civ 5 in the first place.
SamBC  [autor] 16 kwietnia 2014 o 4:21
I see no reason it wouldn't, but because of how dependencies work, you have to have G&K to persuade it to run, whether or not you have BNW.
ToxicLove 15 kwietnia 2014 o 21:09
Does this work with BNW??
SamBC  [autor] 28 stycznia 2014 o 2:28
I didn't want to do that, because those are conceptually covered by pantheons in the game.
Bone Zone Jones 27 stycznia 2014 o 19:09
@SamBc can you make an acient paganism mod to cover the celtic, hellenic, latin, eastern, punic religions
SamBC  [autor] 23 grudnia 2013 o 2:38
Asatru is an organised form of Heathenry.
Magma Dragoon 22 grudnia 2013 o 20:25
Why you no include Asatru?
SamBC  [autor] 26 czerwca 2013 o 17:24
I ran out of steam after three... but I know there are plenty more forms of neopagan religion. Maybe I'll add more.
napoleonbon1 26 czerwca 2013 o 10:28
no Hellenismos?
SamBC  [autor] 23 czerwca 2013 o 7:29
Blackworth, religion is completely disabled in later-era start games, but if your game started in early eras, you should be able to found a religion as late as you like - provided there are any slots left.
☭☭Blackworth☭☭ 23 czerwca 2013 o 5:50
is there a mod that enables religions to be founded in later eras?
Yrjarik 26 lutego 2013 o 9:16
Seems like a nice mod this, might try it out.

@stormkith

Huh. Isnt "heathen" a negative charged description as well as pagan? Or are they who practise this religion (I know, the mjolner profil pic describes my interest, Im not much of a religious person) trying to retake a more neutral to positive use of the word, that the christians of the crusades tried to label as evil?
Freya 15 stycznia 2013 o 4:00
could you add to the hammer maybe just Asatru?
SamBC  [autor] 23 października 2012 o 14:55
@stormkith: thank you.
Storm 23 października 2012 o 14:50
Just a quick note from someone who is a follower of Asatru: Heathen is the correct term for those who honor the Norse gods. Whether you are Odinist, Asatruar, whatever, you're heathen. "Germanic paganism" is a label we don't typically use, though "germanic heathenry" is accurate. I realize some of you are relying pretty heavily on Wikpedia for your info. Bear in mind that's not always an accurate representation of how modern adherents to the faith describe themselves.

I suggest you add this to your XML file if you agree with the choices. It will make the civilizations prefer your religions:
<Civilization_Religions>
<Delete CivilizationType="CIVILIZATION_DENMARK"/>
<Row>
<CivilizationType>CIVILIZATION_DENMARK</CivilizationType>
<ReligionType>RELIGION_HEATHEN</ReligionType>
</Row>
<Delete CivilizationType="CIVILIZATION_CELTS"/>
<Row>
<CivilizationType>CIVILIZATION_CELTS</CivilizationType>
<ReligionType>RELIGION_DRUIDRY</ReligionType>
</Row>
</Civilization_Religions>
Soully 22 sierpnia 2012 o 10:56
Well then, I guess I can still use it for Boudica, it's Druid enough ;)
SamBC  [autor] 22 sierpnia 2012 o 3:29
Druidry is the term used for a neopagan path that attempts to recreate ancient celtic practices, but it's certainly neopagan because no-one *knows* what the old practices were. The symbol is also specific to neopagan druidry.
Soully 21 sierpnia 2012 o 19:58
Why is Druidry Neo? As far back as Boudicca, That's been worshipped. Or did you just add that cause you had to find SOMETHING to mediate Druidry through?
SamBC  [autor] 13 sierpnia 2012 o 6:56
If you subscribe to a mod, then when you start the PC game and select "mods", it will download any you have subscribed to.
Folkvard 13 sierpnia 2012 o 6:55
The mods are downloaded in the game when you hit the mod button, did you do that?
SamBC  [autor] 13 sierpnia 2012 o 4:22
Well, you have to hack game files to get the mac version to play mods at all, AIUI, but if you have a PC as well, you can get it to download from the Workshop and then copy the files across. I'm considering putting my mods elsewhere as well for mac users.
KalSunchaser 12 sierpnia 2012 o 21:16
I'm using a Mac, and Steam doesn't seem to download mods, even when I subscribe to them; is there any way I can get this?
Folkvard 30 lipca 2012 o 5:32
We'll see about that. Re-creating a runic language, rebuiling the old norse language by using Icelandic and Faeoroese, readin Snorri's works and BOOM! HELLYEAH!
Folkvard 30 lipca 2012 o 5:31
Don't you dare step on my noodles! D:<
SamBC  [autor] 30 lipca 2012 o 5:09
No-one knows precisely what any of the "old ways" are. It's all neopaganism, now.
Folkvard 30 lipca 2012 o 4:05
I mean, we conserved it and held it the most, why should the rest of the Germanic tribes have the honour when they bowed down before christianity and submitted to it's destruction of the North Germanic Culture. We took more care of it than any other
Folkvard 30 lipca 2012 o 4:00
I'm not talking about Neo-Paganism I'm talking about Norse Mythology. Germanic Neo-Paganism is just some modern scribbling of people who haven't been willing to do the indebt reaserch of what's actually written down by people such as Snorri Sturluson. I prefer it to be called Norse, that's it's origin, the only reason for similarities are settlers moving around all over europe. The Goths of southern scanfinavia brought much of it's culture down along the south pf europe and also wast. I will not bow down to the modern pagans I follow the old ways, and other people still do. Even though I've just contradicted myself hundreds of times. And yes I know what Germanic means and I know we are a Germanic Tribe "North Germanic" to be more accurate
