Choosing glaciers is a tough decision.. I like your textures better, but I prefer the colours of Real Glaciers V2. I value textures more than colours, so yours is best imo, but I guess I'm sticking with vanilla glaciers until there's one with your textures, and a more ice-like colour!

the new glaciers kinda look more like rocks than glaciers. they're beautiful, but don't seem very icy to me.

@Aviden
It depends on your system, but you can expect a very small performance hit.
Stram Jam 20 Jun, 2014 @ 12:59pm
Does this affect preformance?

Awesome Mod. I like the Glacier picture. If you happened to get bored, do a mod for adding a updated reflection on trees and water, so people won't need to get a max graphics card to get it. This way, you can get Ultra graphics on w/e your card can give you, simply by downloading a mod, without going and paying 1k for an Alienware computer. Imagine how many people would get that mod, lol. I think people would horde to that mod. But still, great mod. Cannot wait to see your response to this rating that I just gave you. Good job on the mod. Keep em' coming.

@Osmodius

The post was @Bhairon, like I said it's really nice, but it just needs to be lightened up more, would look the best Glacier mod out there then!

@Hruodbhert Sasha
Its all up to you, try each one in game and see which one you like the most.

What is better?
"Real glaciers v2", this one or "Glaciers remastered"?

Actually I use Real glaciers v2

These textures aren't meant to look like this...

Looks great. Best Glaciers mod!

What do you mean stepping away from realism? From the pictures this one looks the most realistic to me since glaciers more generally look like this in my experience, at least here in Iceland. Sand is black here and so is ash, which can often be around from eruptions. I don't know what they were going for with Skyrim but if we're talking glaciers Iceland is probably the nordic country to compare textures to I'd suppose. Also, though glaciers look pure white from afar they can be quite spotted when you get up close to them. Just google glacier hike and such to compare or better yet Sólheimajökull :-)

I just commented on your V2 that it was too blue now I see this one and wow i'm using this =)

Terrific job. It looks much more realistic, as your aim indicated.
Osmodius  [author] 26 Jun, 2012 @ 4:45am
@Teffy
As the description says, this glacier mod is less about reality and more about making Skyrim look better.
Commander Worf 26 Jun, 2012 @ 2:58am
Glaciers are pristine, your texture (while good) is a bit inaccurate in portraying what the ice looks like. the overhead surfaces have some dirt deposits yes, but the lower layers are very much a light blue. Perhaps put the current texture on top and on jagged or broken surfaces place a crystaline blue texture.

This is fucking awsome :O
