Yup, it looks like Triage has scanner dialog.
Triggles 8. aug. 2023 kl. 12:02
is this in the official avali triage mod yet?
tranz2deep 24. juli 2021 kl. 2:42
Mann, all we need is an Avali intro mission. Great work.
sass 7. juli 2021 kl. 15:56
Seems like yeah, scanner dialogue is a part of Triage now. I just did a cursory sweep through the intro mission as an Avali. I could unpack the mod to be sure it's every object but I'll just trust the github page.
Ren  [ophavsmand] 7. juli 2021 kl. 15:02
Really? If they're rolling it in they've yet to give me the update, but that'd be super swell if so!
sass 7. juli 2021 kl. 10:07
Do you need this separately anymore? I checked the avali triage github and it seems like every object does have racial descriptions, so I assume the mod description came true and it was rolled into Avali Triage?
Brie390 19. maj 2021 kl. 11:20
really very nice plans you also have nee version for the novali version? and real miracle stretcher work
Ren  [ophavsmand] 31. mar. 2021 kl. 12:14
@Thorne

All it does is edit scan texts. I would put it on your server to be safe, but otherwise it should be fine client-side only.
hjorse 30. mar. 2021 kl. 9:53
Is this mod client-side, or does a server require it for players to make use of it?
FlakTaryd 8. dec. 2020 kl. 1:58
Yeet! Thank youuu!! It'll be worth in the long run once I get the hang of using the Racial Description Editor. I don't like generic descriptions tbh. xD
Ren  [ophavsmand] 7. dec. 2020 kl. 22:13
@FlakTaryd

I completely missed this comment! Apologies! But yeah, absolutely if you wanna add text for FU objects, go for it!
Livvy 7. dec. 2020 kl. 5:30
I have just finished the game with this mod on, and I have to say it was my favourite part of the entire game. Great job!
FlakTaryd 19. nov. 2020 kl. 20:44
@Ren

I've been contemplating about adding the avali dialogue for FU, as tedious as it sounds, to give it more flare rather having the generic descriptions for the FU items. First thing I have to do is reference the files from this mod so I know what to do, if that's okay for you.

FU has a myriad of items and objects, so this is rather a project I can play around with.
Sky Blue Sky 19. nov. 2020 kl. 17:22
@Ren

Did you ask around to see how to circumvent it? It seems the vanilla races have their own description for each table tier, so maybe someone's found something by now.
Ren  [ophavsmand] 18. nov. 2020 kl. 11:20
@Sky Blue Sky

Aye, this is a problem with how those tables work, once upgraded, they're technically the same object, and the program I used for each description didn't take that into account and I'm not really a coder so I'm not sure how I'd go about covering the upgrades.
Sky Blue Sky 17. nov. 2020 kl. 16:46
The character doesn't seem to have dialogue for the upgraded tiers of the vanilla crafting tables.
Kai Ovsky 9. okt. 2020 kl. 18:39
have a unicorn
mods amazing
Monturrock 10. maj 2020 kl. 6:54
Sent the request
Ren  [ophavsmand] 9. maj 2020 kl. 18:42
If you're using the RaDBE and "successfully" unpacked the object descriptions, when you load it all up, everything shooooould be in grey, that's not red, that is, in the wholeass object list. Barring that I can just send you a direct link to the Avali objects/pack everything you need into a "workshop" zip and let you go from there. If you wanna talk about it more, I suggest hitting me up on Discord. Ren#2463
Monturrock 9. maj 2020 kl. 16:48
Thank you so much! Hey, I've been feeling better recently and I'm actually interested in getting the mod going (at least when I'm feeling up to it) I unpacked the Starbound Assets and I've unpacked Avali Objects + (I think) but I don't know how to access the Avali Objects+ Descriptions so I can start editing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ren  [ophavsmand] 8. maj 2020 kl. 14:01
Absolutely! Literally the code for this mode is just a whooooole lotta little .patch files you can edit in notepad++ (or use the RadBE: https://community.playstarbound.com/threads/hey-race-modders-a-little-something-to-use-for-racial-descriptions.136135/ )
Monturrock 8. maj 2020 kl. 4:21
At this point I don't have the energy to do this but if I can someday, would you be willing to give me permission to make a mod that gives an alternative set of Avali descriptions using your mod as a springboard? Basically I'd open up your mod, look at the descriptions, then make my own using yours as inspiration... in theory this means that your mod wouldn't be infringed upon since I wouldn't be using your code or exact descriptions but I'd rather have permission before doing something like this.

Again, I'm not sure if I'll ever do it but it's definitely something I'd be interested in doing if I had more energy since I'm A writer.
Ren  [ophavsmand] 4. maj 2020 kl. 9:06
Every vanilla item was accounted for, so that's something to the effect of over (I think) 2500 objects. Granted, roughly 30% of those were handled by my co-auther Honnaven (Formerly Blue, formerly just look at the description above, dude changes his steam name too friggin much).
Monturrock 4. maj 2020 kl. 3:29
@ Ren

I think you did a good job all around bud.

I agree, you kind of have to go with the generic option when dealing with a race wide set of descriptions... Just out of curiosity how many items did you write descriptions for (rough estimate)
Ren  [ophavsmand] 3. maj 2020 kl. 9:54
@Monturrock

Yeah! I tried to be as "stereotypical" as possible as far as the descriptions go save for a few funny bits here and there (scan a Gnome village, it's terrific, I promise). As stated in the description, I tried to be faithful to Avali as a whole, and Avali as a whole are wordy, techy, and a bit arrogant.

Though everyone's OC is different, of course! People probably have Floran characters who mastered their speech patterns but the scan texts would still have them rolling those s's!
Monturrock 1. maj 2020 kl. 19:39
I'd kind of like to make a personal version of this mod that features a far less arrogant set of description and instead uses ones that are more curious and inquisitive... not cannon sure but It's my own character after all.
Tali 7. feb. 2020 kl. 18:08
Can you make a version of this for the Novali separate race please?
kaden0823 31. dec. 2019 kl. 22:38
the description for wartweed... "it looks kinda like a.... you know what, never mind." heh i got the sexual joke
Yeet 6. dec. 2019 kl. 18:08
NANI?!?!
Naii Starwing 25. aug. 2019 kl. 12:12
I was going to do some stuff with my bounty hunter 'vali. She and her pack take down criminals. Her catchphrase is "You're already cuffed." Her name is Nani, a name the criminals yell in surprise not having seen her coming.
cookiecat 25. aug. 2019 kl. 3:46
YaaY Thanks
Ren  [ophavsmand] 25. aug. 2019 kl. 1:45

indeepj 29. juli 2019 kl. 17:36
Is There A Variant For Something Like, The Unstable Version?
Basically, Downloadable. Wether From The Official Chucklefish Website, Or Github
Dysta 22. juni 2019 kl. 20:08
Welcome back Ren.
cookiecat 19. juni 2019 kl. 2:12
ok no problem i can wait
Ren  [ophavsmand] 18. juni 2019 kl. 23:15
Yeah! Sorry I promised monday but I'll need a bit more time than just a single weekend to situate myself and get back in that writing zone. Let's push it back to end of june/early july at the absolute latest!
cookiecat 18. juni 2019 kl. 6:37

Dynnie 14. juni 2019 kl. 5:24

Ren  [ophavsmand] 14. juni 2019 kl. 0:17
Yeah! Expect an update probably Sunday/Monday!
Dynnie 13. juni 2019 kl. 9:40
Definitely love this mod, feels like a must-have for anyone playing as an Avali.
Any plans to update this to include the new 1.4 objects, or will those just contain generic descriptions?
Arcpheus 29. mar. 2019 kl. 12:11
Definitely by far one of my favorite mods to the game!
A-kun 11. feb. 2019 kl. 5:55
Love the credits.
DaciaSaoirse 22. dec. 2018 kl. 15:49
Sweet. :)
Ren  [ophavsmand] 21. dec. 2018 kl. 17:15
It is! It's a been a good year or so and no one's filed a complaint along the lines of "it doesn't work with friends" so you should be good to go.
DaciaSaoirse 20. dec. 2018 kl. 17:20
Is this mod okay to use when playing with people who don't have it?
A Simple Pigeon 9. dec. 2018 kl. 9:36
@Ren ah, I didn't know the wordiness was part of the original mod as well, that's not really your fault then. It's still great and I really can't play an avali without it!
