Very enjoyable & inventive puzzle & I appreciate the hammer aesthetics

Clever, but the long runway shot needs precise angle, need fix on that.

FUN!

Love "old Aperture" themed maps...especially good ones like yours. From reading comments, I'm glad you lengthened the timers...being older, timed precision in games is not my forte.

Yep; liked that :)

excellent use of testing elements

Very creative and unique. I do agree with tu7650x about the lighting however. Being baffled by a puzzle is one thing, but I am not a fan of hiding surfaces in the shadows. Otherwise it was excellent.

Very nice puzzle design and construction. After hundreds of maps it's good to find something unique and surprising. Well done!

Excellent puzzle, very original and clever. Forces the user to find inventive ways to use a cube. Just one little complaint: in the first part of the map, the lighting on platform with the blue gel button is such that the (indispensable) portalable surface in that section is VERY hard to discern from the plain green walls.

I spent a good while racking my brains trying to find a way back to the main platform without the aid of a portalable surface and (obviously) found none. I was about to give up. I'm not sure if this was done on purpose but if it was, I'm not a big fan of using reduced visibility as a puzzle solving hurdle. Anyway, thanks for this excellent map Mr. Cobra.

Fun and unique. Nice work.

Nicely done! Great map with a variety of required skills. Thanks!

Thank you all.

Holy hell. This map is very good! It had a good challenge and its aesthetics are really in tune with Old Aperture (except the Clean Cube Button, but to nit-pick this level would be the equivalent of stabbing myself in the leg). Thumbs up!

My only three problems with this map are the timed pedestal buttons, too dark in some areas, and no antlines connected indicating what each activator activates. Otherwise very good.

Great map! Very clever solutions. Don't see much stuff like this in the Workshop. Two thumbs up! :p2wheatley:

Great map, I love the solution for the second puzzle.

It's a really well made map. Great puzzles and great attention to details.

Nice map although I did manage to find a "cheat" to complete it

In the second area, use the sliding cube to set up the line of speed gel then position yourself approcimately halfway along the gel and save the game.

When you reload the game the water & repulsion gels start falling but repulsion gel gets to the platform maybe half a seond before the water which gives you just enough time to run along the speed gel and get to the end before the blue gel gets washed away

Loved it, especially the second room with the sliding cube and water blocking cube . Great puzzles. To contradict mikael, I thought the time was judged just right, it would have been too easy with even a couple of extra seconds.

Why the hell would I?
JustPlayingGames 24 Nov, 2012 @ 5:51pm
why not?
cobra  [author] 24 Nov, 2012 @ 5:16pm
No.
JustPlayingGames 24 Nov, 2012 @ 4:22pm
Can you make a map like this for me?
mikael.nyberg 23 Nov, 2012 @ 10:07am
to little time on timers, level should be about skill not manual dexterity

Genius! Fantastic classic old aperture map. I love the sliding cube part Very good job!

Thanks for the great chamber. My solution: http://youtu.be/_oTG7GSXpS4

Very well done! There could be a little more details to the map and I would take out the hopping pillars part but I found this map unique and creative!
The Sojourner 27 Sep, 2012 @ 12:05am
Nice map, very elegant. I would do only two things to improve it:

1) Add a soundscape
2) Create a button for the cube dropper (since when did underground Aperture have automatic cube dispensers?)

There is an update coming soon that:
-Fixes multiple unintended solutions
-Makes timer take longer, as I received many complaints
-Adds PTI rating screen
zazaza 20 Sep, 2012 @ 11:41am
amazing! i loved the solutions :) Really, the only problem with this map is that it throws me back to the menu, like Calculator said. But I came back to rate it anyways :p absolutely loved the way it requires thinking outside the box.
Calculator 20 Sep, 2012 @ 11:07am
Brilliant! I especially liked the solution to the last part, where you need to stop the water flow to reach the exit elevator .

One small thing though: after the screen fades out and the "thanks for playing" message shows up, the player gets sent back to the main menu (using the disconnect command). It would be nice if you updated this map for the PTI so you get the rating screen instead.

Other than that, I really liked this map. Keep up the great work! :-)

Clever solutions indeed. This is a fun one.
Kittaye 14 Sep, 2012 @ 12:52am
Damn those solutions were smart. Tried my hardest to break the map but couldn't. Well done
