An amazing game which now finally got an amazing update.

If you like designing and fighting vehicles of war like airships and landships, you'll love this one.
The amount of freedom in how you can create and decorate your ships is very great.

And not only the designing and battles, you can also play a campaign mode where you build and expand your empire.
With the latest update, you can even now finally do diplomacy and coop with both the ai and players.

Definitely worth full price, let alone on sale.

Very fun competitive tactical shooter. It's like if R6 wasn't a hero shooter but rather a proper tactical fps instead.

Its cool to finally see how the new engine would looks like and i can't wait for arma 4. with that said, reforger is quite a neat game on its own. The main game mode Conflict plays out like squad, but with neat system like radio range and big maps filled with stuff you normally expect in arma 3.

But unfortunately, not as polished atm. i got constant server disconnect every few minutes. prob wait a while more for this to get polished but def keep an eye out. gonna give this a thumbs up just because there's no neutral.

note: oh and if you are wondering if this game is dumbed down version of arma to fit in with the cAsUaL like some claim it to be, the answer is no. tell me, whats casual about having to figure out your location based on landmarks and bearings?

Didn't play Halo as much before so can't give comparison to past entries, but this one to me is hella fun. Take some getting used to but once i did it felt great. Gunplay is solid as far as i can tell, the sfx and animation is great, tho i'd say the kill notif is a bit lacking since i can barely notice it in the heat of CQC.

Since the multiplayer side is FTP, expect micro transaction stuff. Bit mixed in this regard as on one end they implement good stuff like not time gating season pass, so you can grind it at your own pace. On the other they sell every little bits of customization like colors, helmets, armor pieces, etc.

Optimization is still something they need to work on, and i have got at least one instance where my game keep crashing to menu until restart. I'd recommend to give this one a try at the very least.

Surprisingly had a lot of fun with this game. I've always loved space rts games and was originally a bit turned down because this game played in a 2D planar battle map. However the movement system and how you can ram both friendly and the enemy is a pretty good trade off in the end.

The graphics, artworks, sounds, and gameplay is amazing for me. You can never had enough looking at ships exploded by torpedoes salvos or zapped to oblivion from afar. The ui and all the different controls and stances looks overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of the basic and know where things are, it comes pretty natural.

And the game does allow you to give some of your ship liberty in engaging the enemy and there are some perimeter you can set on how you want them to engage, making it bearable to do massive battle. All you had to do is micro some skills, tools and abilities you might have like torpedoes, fighter squadron, bombs etc.

The campaign is pretty good as well, where you have to manage your systems and fleets deployment, also managing priorities because you cant sit idle developing and capturing systems all the time because there are pressing misions you gotta do before certain time.

Playing co-op campaign is also very fun since you can share control of the fleet with a friend.

I'd definitely recommend this game especially on sale, there's tons of content in the campaign alone and if you dont have enough there are some great mods that add tons more stuff. Tho beware this game is a bit unstable at times, crashed from time to time.

Great game, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ DRM

update: the DRM thing wasn't intentional apparently, so i will remove that part of the review out

You can play as different clan that is specialized in certain things. Game consist of you having to expand your base by claiming territory by territory, balancing economy and resources while pushing the edge towards one of the victory condition. There are also some special territory you can try to conquer to give some benefit for you.

Aside from the enemy faction, there are also neutral faction which you can befriend or conquer, which if you do the former you will gain some benefits depending one what kind of faction they are.

With that said, unfortunately the developer made questionable decision by DRM-ing the game, even the single player part. You can still play the story campaign, but not the SP skirmish or conquest mode. I'd recommend the game it self, but if you are like me and bothered by the DRM, then maybe avoid this one.

In short, this game is a very rough gem. It nails the aesthetic and theme of everything, from the artwork, ui, immersive mechanic, and stunningly beautiful graphic. It has also a very tight and hardcore dogfight where it would punish you for your mistakes and rewards you for utilizing everything you've got at the right time. However, the campaign map (one you see from your radar ui) and what micro you do there is as important as the dog fight it self and you won't enjoy the game if you only like one of them.

In the campaign map, you'll need to manage a lot of things starting from resupplying your fleet with enough supplies for the next destination, managing strike groups to intercept or silence the enemy before they can alert reinforcement, and plan out your route wisely to avoid or engage the enemy by intercepting encrypted enemy messages. Mind you, just as how hardcore the dogfight could be, same also apply for the campaign map. You alerted the enemy because you keep your radar on near the enemy? good luck dealing with the 7 long range missiles heading your way, accompanied by multiple enemy fighters. oh and enemy Strike Groups are DEFINITELY going to your location now.

Now for the bad part, while the game has a beautifully aesthetic ui, it doesn't function as good as it looks. everything just sort of blend together and there's a lot of visual noise that it would take you a while to know what button does what (or if something even is interactable). Some of the ui also feel slugish at times and it lacks some QoL improvement (especially in the ship building section). And on top of that, there's a constant effect of explosions and stuff that sometimes it's very hard to tell what the hell are you looking at during a dogfight. And as it stand now, it still lack ultra wide support which would in turn make everything stretched out.

Definitely not for everyone, however it is easily a 9/10 if you into this sort of strategy and 2d side-scroller dogfight and also able to look pass the jank-ness.
