Incredibly boring MC surrounded by incredibly boring people, with ♥♥♥♥ all to do and a clock that only moves forward when you have something to do, how ironic.

Short version: Beautiful, but ultimately 'unfinished'.
Longer Version:
Negatives: There is a stunning lack of unique enemies, that even carries over to the Bosses, of which, at least half are reskinned at some point. P-Organ felt kinda meh(descriptions are too vague to really quantify if they're working).
Positives: The Humanity/Lie system in the game, is a really cool! Makes the 'collectathon' that these games usually feature, integrate in a way that you can't or won't want to miss them.

Honestly would really like to see a sequel or an add-on that builds on what they've got. Lots of potential for interesting mechanics, that felt like they ran out of time or money to finish

GET THIS VERSION(PERIOD)
'The Definitive Edition": is this game, but it definite-tively sucks ass in comparison. Got the other version, its a console reskin, looks like total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

My two favorite parts of the game the repeatable "Death By Thousand Cuts" and "Fists of Fury", are turned into single one off basically impossible non-repeatable tasks instead. ♥♥♥♥ you square enix

It's a unrefined version of DS3, that they're charging WAY TOO MUCH MONEY for, plain and simple.
It's more tedious, sluggish, and truthfully disappointing experience. Even if with no armor or weapons equipped, you will still feel like you're controlling someone tripping on cough syrup. Both from how slow you will be physically traversing the world and from just how much delay there is in action. Can't tell if it's a bug or a feature... Either way it's an insufferable way to play a game, where you die over and over again, having to run back to the boss room, which in many cases are no where near bonefires.

I've played this game for nearly 1500hrs, and it is for all intents and purposes one of the best games I've ever played. Except I can't give it a positive review anymore, because it's no longer a "Game" to Gearbox/2k, but a tool to harass people with unwanted advertisements. Not to mention these useless and greedy updates more often than not actually break the game on most systems. Something fishy about that don't you think? Game was pretty much near rock solid during its time in the spot light and even for the 7 YEARS I waited anxiously for the next installment. But now they've got ads that they shove in your face before you even get to see the main menu, then once you start playing it'll most likely CTD within an hour or so

And just in case inshallah someone from 2K or Gearbox reads this, doing ♥♥♥♥ like this is not how you maintain and grow customer relations. And until you stop harassing people who aren't buying your arguably inferior new products, they won't even give them the chance they might actually deserve.

First of all I'm going to give the content warnings that should've been included outright. THIS GAME CONTAINS SCENES OF: DOMESTIC ABUSE, CHILD ABUSE, SUICIDE, TORTURE, MASS MURDER, AND DRUG USE. This isn't your GTA game with bits of dialogue accompanied by dehumanized combat, these are very humanized situations and because of the engine they also feel and look very real. If those trigger any kind of PTSD for you and you are not in the care of a professional, I suggest you look elsewhere.

REVIEW:
An old story with an interesting approach; Androids taking over the jobs of humans and a cyberpunk dystopian world. Where the story probes the user about it's moral conditioning. What constitutes life? What is consciousness? What is Freedom? etc

In this psychological thriller thee game pushes you into lives and characters, but more importantly you choose your destiny. What are you willing to sacrifice to complete the mission Connor?, What will you sacrifice for family Kara? What will you sacrifice for Freedom Markus?

You will get to answer and experience that and more in this fine title. I highly recommend you give it a try if you have the spoons for this emotional rollercoaster ride!

WARNING: I believe most of the negative reviews are either due to the person(s) not understanding the authors' intentions or too narrow and circumstantial. But it is a VERY short game.

I played through all of the endings in about 15 minutes. The game does a good job of describing itself and it's pros and cons. It's very self aware, and I like that. The author was clearly trying to be as informative as possible to the end user of it's objective, but also it's consequences.

And even though I have to agree that "Gatekeeping", especially in a country with such systemic hatred of 'the individual', needs to be curbed. But i still believe that some sort of oversight needs to happen, not in it's current moto of "Protecting people from themselves", but perhaps a moto of; "Empower others with confidence, through personal introspection and information" The more confident and concrete ones convictions, the happier and stabler an individual they will be.

Some of the questions are certainly vital and will make someone uncomfortable, but that's the point. Transitioning isn't comfortable and if you don't answer some of these questions, it may seriously turn out botched.

"Ideal Body"=keep expectations within reality. "What was the event in your life that made you think, alright I have to do this"=Ensures that the patient has a good grasp of themselves

That being said, a LOT of the questions that were asked and are commonly asked are so irrelevant or are answered by the patients raison d'etre for therapy

("What's your sexuality?"= gender != sexuality and rarely have anything to do with a patients reason to transition, "Growing up did you like boyish things or girlish things"= rhetorical or just not relevant to the ADULT that sits before you)

This is my first souls game, so I've nothing to compare it to other than "souls-like" Code Vein which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Pros
-Level design is quite cohesive, I really liked the fact that you kind of work your way to the depths of hell and back up to the peak of the castle
-Each level is something new; new dungeon tile, new enemies, new puzzles
-Lovely visuals and cool boss fights
-Very interesting NPCs
-Very rewarding combat; Brutal, but for the most part Fair and Balanced

Cons
-Not very well placed bonfires, or lack thereof(Looking at you Grand Archives)
-AI advantage/Hacks; Enemy weapons have no mesh and can swing through basically any object, but the PCs weapon always collides with everything.
-Nameless King and Ruler of Storm; Just an annoying/boring boss, not necessarily a "con", but it did make me put down the game for a while
-No real way to keep track of NPCs questlines, which is a shame, because it makes the game feel very disjointed and some times you will make a mistake and do the "wrong" thing without realizing it til way later.

I've never played any game like this before, but I fell in love with it's dorky kitschy plot and characters. It definitely isn't as challenging as souls (The mob AI is much less aggressive), but it was a nice entry to combat with "souls-bourne" game. All that being said, I think the current asking price in 2022 for a game they decided to do nothing else with of $80 CAD, is quite steep for a title released in 2019. Definitely wait for this one to go on sale. And I hope you enjoy this anime as much as I did!

I've been a victim of poor advertising. At no point in the games description, does it mention it's a rogue game or a bullet hell. Was in the market for a souls-like game, and then despite only having an hour of play time, this DRM wouldn't give me a refund. Now I'm stuck with a product I don't want and nobody can benefit from my purchase GG

P.S: Whoever designed the KB/M layout for this game needs to take methyl hydrate and pour it into their eyes. Because there is no KB/M layout. There's a KB layout, which sports '/' as primary attack and '\' as secondary attack though? Like what the absolute ♥♥♥♥ SE
