Villeneuve Valley Branch

Description
A typical Australian branch line in Queensland using standard gauge track, instead of narrow 3'6.
A highly detailed route based on the now long gone and closed Kikoy Branch, this version of the route is not a true replica of the real route, but rather gives a rough idea of the corridor the branch used.
With no Australian assets available it was easier to keep the route semi fictional.
the route is set up for steam and diesel.
All track on the route is overhead electric enabled.with easments and super elevation.

Full route is 58km
Branch line is 55km and the route boasts of 64 rail bridges with 13 culverts
and has 20 stations or stops.
Scenario's are most welcome.
With no aussie stock available, scenarios will not be prototypical.
Use your own imagination and rolling stock.

Industrys include

2 Quarrys

Passenger pick up

Grain Loading

Cattle and Sheep

General frieght

The route unfortunately does use quite a lot of DLC.
Most DLC is required to run the route except Hatchet Hill which is only used in the two Quarry sections and Wherry Lines used mainly for signals, gates point rods and cables.

The Brisbane Valley route only covers north of Wulkuraka to just north of Toogoolawah with the Yarraman section excluded

The Kingaroy & Proston branch covers everything and a short section of the NCL at Theebine

The bonus about Trainz is while driving along any route and at the bottom of the page 'by default' is a gradient profile in % value. You can convert these vales to 1 in XX using Trainmans Train Page at http://www.trainman.id.au/ it's under the calculators and converters

If you can't download the routes for Trainz from the DLS, I can pass on the cdp files ;) Which is why I've sent you a friend request :) And we can chat that way, saves me spamming your thread here HAHA

Hey mate, those are super helpful, but I can't figure out how to download or purchase them.

Unfortunately I don't have either curve and gradient diagrams for the Brisbane Valley line or Kingaroy & Proston branches.

However, I do have these routes working in Trainz 2019. With only a few missing dependencies, doesn't effect the routes, but you may run into track breakage. I'm not sure why some tracks tend to break or be deleted in Trainz after being uploaded to the DLS. But, I've got a few QR routes with track breakages HAHA

Hey mate, good luck with your Cleveland route.
That certainly is an ambitious project through the suburbs.
I have the same problem with lack of curve and gradient diagrams for certain lines I want to build.
I'm chasing curve and gradient diagrams for the Brisbane Valley Line and also the Kingaroy line.
I've purchased some historical curve and gradient diagrams from the link below, you may find something useful.

Excellent news, I will await for your NSW route with 'Great Patience' I'm currently working on my own QR route, between Wynnum North and Cleveland. I will be honest, I absolutely have no idea what I'm doing mate HAHA the entire route gradients is all guesswork as I haven't got any gradient diagrams for the Cleveland, Doomben, Shorncliffe, Ferny Grove or even the Airport line. I pretty much have every other curve & gradient diagrams for all other lines but those lines.. Nope!

I'd like to use this gps data to create series markers, which I've tried but it's somehow not showing in the editor nor will my own 3d modelled route marker pins/flags. I wished TS was the same how MSTS worked when it comes to route markers and gps lines, DTG's had to make everything complicated and yet they can't even provide fully written documentation on how everything works.. I better stop complaining HAHA

Hey mate,I have plenty of unfinished QR routes Haha.
One day I will get some finished.
Currently working on a NSW route,Werris Ck to Tamworth.
This will be the next route uploaded to the workshop later this year.

Quite an interesting route! I only can see the entire route map, only because I don't have the required assets available. I just can't be bothered buying more useless routes I don't ever drive. I do wished that DTG would introduce an option for users to purchase payware route assets, this would be a dream come true, but of course they won't do that because we all know DTG's has a greedy side about them

I would like to know if you have any more QR routes, don't worry I promise that I will try not to be a gimmie pig HAHA

@mortia Thats a very generous compliment mate, and very happy you appreciate and enjoy the route.Yes the CPRR 4-4-0 n.60 Jupiter is used for the track and some bridges, happy railroading:104:

I downloaded your route a week ago. Of the 350 routes I have in TS2022 this is my top 10. I run ThirdRails Bing maps when I drive your route and you are deadly accurate in following the closed line. As a route developer (at 76 yrs of age) I know the time and effort you have spent in creating this wonderful route. There are missing bridges and much trackwork missing.I do not have CPRR 4-4-0 n.60 Jupiter. I assume with this the route should be perfect for me. This is the only asset i am missing from your list..
