Description
Testing Elements: Surface Division Fields, Thermal Discouragement Beam, Bumbleball
Difficulty: Expert
Play Time: ~60 mins+
Version: 1.5

This version is new and improved! It removes some of the old testing logic that was very unintuitive, and makes some elements of the test more apparent. This version also adds a new easter egg, see if you can find it!

Mind-boggling, but again, I overcame.

That final setup is crazy.

Loved it though.

Yeah, this one is rough, I'll admit. It's also one of the oldest maps I've made, which could explain why it's not as good. I've learned a lot since this came out in 2018. Penrose 08 is coming out soon!

Something I'm disliking on this mappack... the important elements aren't very clear to the player, aka they don't have indicators.

I was stuck for a long time until I realized you hap to momentum into that button on the wall. And that requires some precise timing too which is not very portal like.

The room reading is a bit difficult, but that's to be expected from this type of map. I don't know with maps with about 6 or more of those fields make for very fun puzzles though. Maybe if there was an easier way for the player to know where he was on the map

OMG I just completed it, I'm not sure if I got the 2 cubes in the big room the intended way but still...

I've started and stopped development a few times, but I'm still a novice hammer creator and I couldn't come up with any good ideas for the tests.
