News Screen Begone outdated

Description

Should prevent the annoying news window from showing up in the mainmenu, if it doesn't;
download the zip from mega nz and fix it manually

replace brackets with dot, since steam filters the link

oh I didn't even know that, I don't usually pay much attention to it since I don't spend that much time on the menu screen

thanks for this mod, the update menu gets kind of annoying. also is there an addon for the backgrounds you use?

i don't know how i misread this whole mod but i assumed it removed the 2013 main menu screen slideshow

i feel like the big problem with the news screen is that there's no way to minimize/hide it without outright removing it
