Dalton Mine Shaft #3 Route (Finalized)

Description
Dalton Mine Shaft #3 is a freelanced route representing a mining operation that has tapped into three different mineral seams. The route has some stiff grades and can be hard to run, but it can also be a lot of fun. See the operating notes at the bottom of the description for more information.

ROUTE MADE FINAL AT REQUEST OF SCENARIO CREATORS

Required DLC:
Corris Railway
Corris Railway Expansion
European Asset Pack
US Asset Pack

While the route itself only uses the assets from the Corris Route itself, you'll need to expansion for the appropriate rolling stock. I am not responsible if you attempt to run a steam engine in the tunnels.

This is just a fun little gimmick route I cooked up over the course of about 48 hours. Hope you enjoy it!

OPERATING NOTES:

FOR THE ROUTE TO DISPLAY CORRECTLY, YOU MUST HAVE THE "SCENERY DENSITY" SLIDER UP ALL THE WAY IN YOUR GRAPHICS SETTINGS.

You will want to run either Corris #9 or #5 on this route. Both engines have their limitations and quirks, but it's very possible to run the route with them.

Corris No. 5: This gas mechanical locomotive can handle as many as 4 wagons up and down the hill to Level 1, but you'll have to stay on your toes to keep control. While running gas locomotives into a mine is generally forbidden, the tunnel between the surface and Level 1 is ventilated sufficiently to allow No. 5 to run that far. Otherwise the engine remains on the surface. The tunnels below Level 1 are all too small for this engine to make it through anyways. The engine can handle 2 wagons on the grades at the Tailings Dump but I recommend taking one wagon at a time in and out of there.

Corris No.9: This electric engine can handle 2 wagons at a time down from Level 1 to each of the three seams. It can also take the same load from the Surface to Level 1. I recommend only taking one load at a time up the hill. The brakes can hold it descending to the seams but you may find it necessary to reverse and add some power to remain in control. Descending from the surface to Level 1 will definitely require reverse power to remain in control. This engine is the only one that will fit through the tunnels from Level 1 to the seams.

QUICK DRIVE: This route is quick drive enabled. However, the switches must all be thrown manually. paths that pass through tunnels too small for No. 5 to traverse are marked as "Electric Only"

When operating only in the tunnels, it may be worth running your scenario at night so as to get the dark mine-like appearance of the tunnels. This is all a matter of personal preference however.

Hi Fleegle475,
I did a test Publish scenario and it worked!
I suggest you put the word Final in the title now, so people know it is not a Work in Progress. I'll give more feedback soon.

@Not.Silent Well... I was able to push the "Make Final" button, so I guess see if it worked.

Hi Fleegle475, It used to be, but I think it is not quite as strict now. I was able to before 30 for my route. I suggest you try and see what happens.
Come on everyone, help me by clicking on the thumb up symbol below the screenshot above - to speed things along - so I can publish scenarios on this route.
Cheers. Not.Silent.

@Not.Silent If memory serves a route requires 35 up votes to be made final, this one only has 9. Unless something has changed lately

Any chance of making this Final Fleegle475?

A wonderful, unique little route. This has quickly become one of my favorites to run if I feel like taking a short trip.
