One Year War is a total conversion mod for Hearts of Iron IV set in the Mobile Suit Gundam Universal Century timeline, starting in UC0075 play through the buildup of rise to power of the Zabi Family and the titular One Year War, fight for the freedom of all spacenoids as the Principality of Zeon or defend earth and its colonies as the Earth Federation or choose a new path and change history. This mod adds unique mechanics to Hearts of Iron IV including an updated map to include space and space combat, Zeon’s Earth drop operations, brand new focus trees and research, including many new units.

75 years ago mankind began moving it’s burgeoning population from the overcrowded earth to giant orbiting space colonies marking the beginning of the new age of humankind, the Universal Century.
By UC0050, 9 billion of earth's 11 billion population has moved into space, the emergence of contolism in Side 3 by Zeon Zum Deikun begins the Space independence movement.
In UC0068 Zeon Zum Daikun is assassinated and Degwin Zabi succeeds Zeon as leader, appointing himself as sovereign
UC0079 The cluster of colonies furthest from the Earth, called Side 3, proclaimed itself the Principality of Zeon and launched a war of independence against the Earth Federation.
Initial fighting lasted over one month and saw both sides lose half their respective populations.
People were horrified by the indescribable atrocities that had been committed in the name of independence.
Eight months had passed since the rebellion began. They were at a stalemate.

This mod is intended to recreate ONE YEAR WAR.
